AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF NEWPORT BEACH
AMENDING SECTION 11.08.030 OF THE NEWPORT
BEACH MUNICIPAL CODE TO ESTABLISH UNIFORM
BEACH CLOSING CURFEW HOURS
The City Council-of the City of Newport Beach does
ordain as follows:
SECTION 1. Section 11.08.030 of the Newport Beach
Municipal Code is amended to read:
"11.08.030 Use of Beaches at Night. A. PROHIBITED
HOURS. No person shall be allowed or permitted on any
public bay beaches and any ocean front beaches in the City,
except the beach known as "Little Corona" and the Corona
del Mar State and City Park Beach, between the hours of
midnight and six a.m. of the following day.
B. LITTLE CORONA BEACH. No person shall
be allowed or permitted on the beach known as "Little
Corona" or the Corona del Mar State and City Park Beach
between the hours of ten p.m. and six a.m. of the following
day.
C. TEMPORARY MODIFICATION. In the event
of special circumstances so warranting, the City Manager in
his judgment is hereby authorized and empowered to modify
temporarily the hours established in Paragraphs A and B.
hereof by first filing each such modification and the speci-
fied period thereof with the City Clerk."
SECTION 2. This ordinance shall be published once in
the official newspaper of the City, and the same shall be
effective 30 days after the date of its adoption.
This ordinance was introduced at a regular meeting of

the City Council of the City of Newport Beach held on the 19 ?A
