AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF NEWPORT BEACH
ADDING SECTION 17.32.040 TO THE NEWPORT
BEACH MUNICIPAL CODE TO REQUIRE MARINA
OWNERS AND HARBOR PERMITTEES TO MAINTAIN AREAS
FREE FROM DEBRIS
The City Council of the City of Newport Beach DOES ORDAIN
as follows:
SECTION 1. Section 17.32.040 is added to the Newport
Beach Municipal Code to read:
"17.32.040 Refuse -- Marinas and Piers. Any owner
or operator of a marina or any owner or permit holder who
maintains a pier, shall keep the area in and around such
marina or pier.located on the shorelines of Newport Harbor
within the City reasonably free and clear from beached or
floating refuse, debris or litter at all times."
SECTION 2. This ordinance shall be published once in
the official newspaper of the City, and the same shall be effective
30 days after the date of its adoption.
This ordinance was introduced at a regular meeting of
the City Council of the City of Newport Beach held on the
day of SEP 11 1972 , 1972, and was adopted on the day of
SEP 2 5 1972 , 1972, by the following vote, to wit:
