AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF NEWPORT BEACH
AMENDING SECTION 12.24.030 OF THE NEWPORT
BEACH MUNICIPAL CODE TO ESTABLISH A SPEED
LIMIT ON WESTMINSTER AVENUE FROM OLD NEWPORT
BOULEVARD TO 15TH STREET
The City Council of the City of Newport Beach does
ordain as follows:
SECTION 1. Section 12.24.030 of the Newport Beach
Municipal Code is amended to read:
"12.24.030 Prima Facie Speed Limit -- Thirty Miles
Per Hour. The prima facie speed limit on the following
named streets or parts thereof shall be thirty miles per
hour.
Santa Isabel Avenue from Irvine Avenue to Tustin Avenue.
Cliff Drive from Riverside Avenue to Dover Drive.
Newport Boulevard from West Coast Highway northerly to
15th Street.
Newport Boulevard from Finley Avenue to 21st Street.
Westminster Avenue from Old Newport Boulevard to
15th Street."
SECTION 2. This ordinance shall be published once
in the official newspaper of the City, and the same shall be
effective 30 days after the date of its adoption.
This ordinance was introduced at a regular meeting of
the City Council of the City of Newport Beach held on the 25th
day of March , 1974, and was adopted on the 8th day of
April 1974, by the following vote, to wit:
AYES, COUNCILMEN: McInnis, Rogers, Croul,
Dostal, Kym1a, Store
NOES, COUNCILMEN: RYCkoff
ABSENT COUNCILMEN: None
