AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF NEWPORT BEACH
AMENDING CHAPTER 12.04, SECTION 12.04.055
• OF THE NEWPORT BEACH MUNICIPAL CODE
PERTAINING TO HOLIDAYS SPECIFIED FOR
PARKING ENFORCEMENT PURPOSES
The City Council of the City of Newport Beach
DOES ORDAIN as follows:
SECTION 1. Section 12.04.055 of the Newport Beach
Municipal Code is hereby amended to read as follows:
"12.04.055. HOLIDAYS. Within the meaning of this
Chapter, holidays are as follows:
1. Every Sunday
2. January 1st known as "New Year'.s Day"
3. February 12, known as "Lincoln's Birthday"
4. The Third Monday in February known as
"Washington's Birthday"
5. The Last Monday in May known as "Memorial Day"
6. July 4th known as "Independence Day"
7. The First Monday in September known as
• "Labor Day"
8. September 9 known as "Admissions Day"
9. November 11, known as "Veterans Day"
10. The fourth Thursday in November known as
"Thanksgiving Day"
11. December 25 known as "Christmas"
12. Every day appointed by the President or Governor
for a public fast, thanksgiving or holiday."
SECTION 2. This Ordinance shall be published once
in the official newspaper of the City, and the same shall be
effective thirty (30) days after the date of its adoption.
This Ordinance was introduced at a regular meeting
of the City Council of the City of Newport Beach held on the
10th day of November , 1975 and was adopted on the 24th
day of November. , 1975, by the following vote, to wit:
AYES COUNCILMEN: McInnis, Dostal, Barrett,
Kuehn, Rogers, Ryckoff, Store
NOES, COUNCILMEN: None
ABSENT COUNCILMEN: None
