BACKGROUND
On April 3, 2008, a proposal to construct a single - family dwelling was referred to the
Planning Commission by the Planning Director for an informal review. The Planning
Commission discussed the proposed project, and indicated that the view from Begonia
Park should be protected and advised the applicant to construct two sets of story poles
on the property: one to depict the building envelope of the proposed dwelling and the
other to depict the building envelope of a dwelling that conform to the development
standards of the Zoning Code. The agenda item was continued to the May 22, 2008,
public hearing.
DISCUSSION
The applicant submitted a letter to the Planning Department requesting that the project
be removed from Planning Commission calendar. David Olson, architect, is working
with his client to redesign the project and requires more time.
RECOMMENDATION
Staff recommends the Planning Commission remove this item from the calendar. If the
proposed project is placed back on the Planning Commission's agenda, staff will re -notice
the project.
