It was certainly not my intent to suggest thatthe Harbor Commission was unaware of existing rules or that they should be encouraged to develop an independent proposal for ExlorOcean. In view of that misinterpretation, please forward to the Planning Commission this suggested revision to that sentence in the minutes, which I believe would more accurately summarize what I said (or at least intended to say): "He hoped City staff could be proactive in helping ExplorOcean develop a proposal more in keeping with the character of Newport Beach and its building regulations."
