HomeMy WebLinkAbout1769 - Single-Family Dwellings & DuplexesORDINANCE NO. 1769 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF NEWPORT BEACH AMENDING SECTION 20.01.070 C OF THE NEWPORT BEACH MUNICIPAL CODE TO EXEMPT SINGLE- FAMILY DWELLINGS AND DUPLEXES FROM SITE PLAN REVIEW REQUIREMENT IN A SPECIFIC PLAN AREA FOR WHICH A SPECIFIC AREA PLAN HAS NOT BEEN ADOPTED The City Council of the City of Newport Beach DOES ORDAIN as follows: Section 1. Section 20.01.070 C of the Newport Beach Municipal Code is amended to read: "20.01.070 C. APPLICATION. Site Plan Review approval shall be obtained prior to the issuance of a Building Permit for any new building to be constructed, or existing building to be reconstructed or remodeled d0�1 to increase the gross floor area by 50% 6F 2,500 square • feet whichever is less, within an area designated on the land use plan of the General Plan for the development of.a Specific Area Plan, for which a Specific Area Plan has not been adopted. Exception: Site Plan Review shall. not be required for construction or alteration of single- family dwellings or duplexes in any residential zone where such development is consistent with the land use designation of the General Plan." SECTION 2. This ordinance shall be published once in the official newspaper of the City, and the same shall be effective thirty (30) days after the date of its adoption.
