• AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF NEWPORT BEACH
ADDING SECTION 12.66.085 TO THE NEWPORT BEACH
MUNICIPAL CODE PERTAINING TO APPLICATION OF
SECTION 22514 OF THE CALIFORNIA VEHICLE CODE
AS IT RELATES TO PARKING WITHIN 15 FT. OF A
FIRE HYDRANT ON PRIVATE ROADS WITHIN THE CITY,
AND AUTHORIZING THE POLICE DEPARTMENT TO CITE
AND /OR TOW VIOLATORS THEREFOR
The City Council the City of Newport Beach DOES ORDAIN
as follows:
SECTION 1. Chapter 12.66 of the Newport Beach
Municipal Code is amended to add Section 085 thereto, which shall
read as follows:
"12.66.085 Application of Vehicle Code to Private
Roads The provisions of Section 22514 of the California Vehicle
Code which prohibit parking within 15 ft, of a fire hydrant shall
• apply to all private streets within the City of Newport Beach."
SECTION 2. This Ordinance shall be published once in
the official newspaper of the City, and the same shall be
effective thirty (30) days after the date of its adoption.

This Ordinance was introduced at a regular meeting of
the City Council of the City of Newport Beach held on the 26th
day of April , 1982, and was adopted on the loth day of May ,
1982, by the following vote, to wit:
