AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF NEWPORT BEACH
ADDING SECTION 12.12. 080 TO THE NEWPORT BEACH
MUNICIPAL CODE PROHIBITING THE PARKING OF
MOTORCYCLES, MOTOR- DRIVEN CYCLES AND MOTORIZED
BICYCLES IN MUNICIPAL PARKING LOTS WHERE
• SPECIFIC SPACES HAVE BEEN DESIGNATED FOR
PARKING OF SUCH VEHICLES IN ANY SPACE NOT SO
DESIGNATED
The City Council of the City of Newport Beach DOES
ORDAIN as follows:
SECTION 1. Chapter 12,12 of the Newport Beach
Municipal Code shall be amended to add Section 080 which shall
read as follows:
12.12.080 Parking Restrictions for Motorcycles, Motor-
Driven Cycles and Motorized Bicycles It shall be unlawful for
any person to park any motorcycle, motor - driven cycle, or
motorized bicycle in any parking lot or public street owned,
operated or maintained by the City of Newport Beach and which
contains spaces designated for the parking of such vehicles, in
any parking space other than those specifically provided for the
• parking of motorcycles, motor - driven cycles or motorized
bicycles.
SECTION 2. This Ordinance shall be published once in
the official newspaper of the City, and the same shall be
effective thirty (30) days after the date of its adoption.
This Ordinance was introduced at a regular meeting of
the City Council of the City of Newport Beach held on the 10th
day of May ' , 1982, and was adopted on the 24th day of May ,
1982, by the following vote, to wit:
AYES, COUNCIL MEMBERS Heather, Cox,
Hummel, Hart, Strauss, Maurer, Plummer
NOES, COUNCIL MEMBERS None
ABSENT COUNCIL MEMBERS None
