ORDINANCE NO. 89- 18
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
NEWPORT BEACH AUTHORIZING AN AMENDMENT TO THE
CONTRACT WITH THE PUBLIC EMPLOYEES RETIREMENT
SYSTEM TO PROVIDE ONE YEAR FINAL COMPENSATION FOR
MISCELLANEOUS AND SAFETY MEMBERS.
The City Council of the City of Newport Beach does hereby
ordain as follows:
Section l: That the Contract between the Board of
Administration of the Public Employees Retirement System and the
City Council of the City of Newport Beach shall be amended to
provide Section 20024.2 Status (one year final compensation) for
local miscellaneous members and local safety members.
Section 2: This Ordinance was introduced at a regular
meeting of the City Council of the City of Newport Beach held on
the 24th day of July , 1989, and adopted on the 14th day of
August , 1989, by the following vote, to -wit:
AYES, COUNCILMEMBERS Strauss, Plummer,
Hart, Turner, Watt, Sansone, Cox
NOES, COUNCILMEMBERS None
ABSENT COUNCILMEMBERS None
