SUBJECT: Use Permit No. 2001 -029 and Development Plan No, 2002 -001
APPLICANT: McDonald's Corporation
11682 El Camino Real #400
San Diego, CA 92130
This item was considered by the Planning Commission on December 5, 2002. The
Commission directed the applicant to make substantial changes to the project to make it
more compliant with the Mariner's Mile Strategic Vision and Design Framework. The
item has appeared on subsequent agendas only to be continued due to the need for
additional time to complete design changes.
The applicant informed. staff of a major change to the site plan while requesting a further
continuance of the hearing to May 8, 2003. Staff suggests that the hem be removed
from calendar as opposed to continuing it to a certain date. Staff is concerned with the
amount of time has elapsed between the previous notice and the hearing. A future
hearing on this item will require re- noticing, which will provide the public a better
opportunity to participate in the review process.
