PROJECT: Navai Residence (PA2002 -007)

SUMMARY: Amendment to a previously approved Variance where a 1 and 2
story addition to an existing single family dwelling would exceed
the 24 -foot height limit, ranging from 1 foot to 9 feet. The
modified project would further exceed the 24 -foot height limit
ranging from 1 to 10.17 feet.
RECOMMENDED
ACTION: Continue the item to April 18, 2002.
Discussion
This item was continued from the March 21, 2002 meeting at the request of the applicant. No
discussion of the item took place at the previous meeting.
The applicant is required to provide a second exit from the proposed addition due to the Building
Code. The applicant is considering design alternatives, but to date, the applicant has not finalized
how the additional exit will be provided. The applicant is considering filing a modification request
through the Building Department requesting relief from the requirement. The applicant has
requested a continuance to April 18, 2002, although a longer continuance may be necessary to
resolve the design with the Building Department. If additional time is deemed necessary, staff will
provide a future date for the continued hearing at the meeting.
