COPY RESOLUTION OF INTENTION No. 22-6 COPY
There are two resolutions numbered 22
A resolution by the Board of Trustees of the City of New-
port Beach declaring that the public interest and the public con-
venience require, and that it is the intention of said Board of
Trustees of said city to order certain work done or improvement
made, describing the work and improvement, the land deemed neces-
sary to be taken therefore, and specifying the exterior boundaries
of the district of lands to be affected or benefited by said work
and improvement, and to be assessed to pay the damages, costs
and expenses thereofl
The Board of Trustees of the City of Newport Beach, do
resolve and declare as follows:
1. Resolved that the public interest and convenience re-
quire and that.it is the intention of the Board of Trustees of
the City of Newport Beach to order certain work to be done, or
improvement made.
2. Resolved that the work or improvement which it is the
intention of the Board of Trustees of the City of Newport Beach
to order done is:
That a portion of Bay Avenue, a public street in
the City of Newport Beach, be closed ups vacated and abandoned;
that the portion of said Bay Avenue to be closed ups vacated and
abandoned, is all that portion thereof: lying and being between
and intersected by Washington & Main Streets, also public streets
in the City of Newport Beach.
3. Resolved that the work to be done or improvement made
is for the closing up of a portion of a public street and no land
is necessary to be taken therefor.
4. Resolved that no assessment will be necessary to pay
any damages or any costs or expenses thereof.
5. Resolved that the Street Superintendent shall cause to
be conspicuously posted along the line of said contemplated work
or improvement, at not more than three hundred feet in distance
apart, but not less than three'in all, ntoices of the passage of

this resolution. Said notices a4a-ll be headed: t'Notice of Public
Work ", in letters not less than one inch in length, shall be in

legible characters, state the fact of the passage of this resolu-

tion, its date, and briefly the work or improvement proposed and

refer to this resolution for further particulars. He shall also

cause a notice similar in substance to be published for a period
5
of four successive insertions in a weekly newspaper, published
6
and circulated in the City of Newport Beach, and the NEWPORT NEWS
7
a weekly newspaper so published and circulated in the City of
8
Newport Beach is hereby designated for that purpose.

The above and foregoing Resolution was passed and adopted
10
and approved by the President of the Board of Trustees, of the
11
City of Newport Beach, at a regular meeting thereof held on the
12
4th day of March, 1912, by the affirmative vote of the following
13
named Trustees, to wit:

AYES: A. N. Smith, C. A. Barton, S. L. Collins, R. J. Stauss

NOES: None

ABSENT: A. A. Lester

The above and foregoing Resolution of Intention is approve

was duly and regularly adopted, passed, and approved by
the City Council of the City of Newport Beach, California,
at a regular meeting of said City Council held at the
regular meeting place thereof, on the 4 day of
