A Resolution of the Board of Trustees of the city of New-
port Beach ordering certain portions of First :tTa3t and a certain
a ;ley in the city of Newport Beach, vacated, abandoned and closed
pursuant to Resolution of Intention No. 19 of said Board of Truntaea.
The Board of Trustees of the city of Newport B-ach io re-
solve and declare ria follorle:
Resolved that the public inter-eat and also the public
convenience require that a portion of First $treat and a certain
alley both in the city of Newport Beslbh, bo vacated, abandonec,. and
closed.
Be it further resolved that whereas: The Board o:�' `i':.ueteas
of the city of New+,-D -,rt Beach did on the 7th day of Septoiber, 1909,
by the affirmative vote of at least three trustees of srid Board,
to -wit: by the vote of four of said Trustees, pass and ad.o'pt and
there was approved on said day by the president of paid Boi.rd of
Trusteisl a resolution of intention, being No. 16, to vacate, ohan--
dcn and close up a certain portion of First Streot and of a certr,in
alley, both in the city of Newport Beach, which resolution of Inten-
tion described the work to be done, or improvement mado, the !Lnd
deemed necessary to be taken therefor and specifying the exterior
boundaries of the district of land to be affected or benefited by
said work and improvement, and to be aeseesed to pay the damages,
costs, and expenses thereof.
And be it further resolved that ^h°reas: The 'treat
Superitb3ndent of the city of Newport Beach, pursuant to said Re-
solution of Intention No. 18; did upon the passage, adoption and
arproval thereof, cause to ba, and there vas conEipicuouuly ro:.i.ac1 .
along the line of said contemplated work or improvement of not more
than 300 ft. in distance apart and not less than three in all, notices
of the passage of said resolution of intention. The said notices very
headed: "NOTICE' OF PUBLIC 1"ORK1' in JAtere of not ..ess than one inch
in length and in legible characters stated the fact of the paseaUe
of said resolution, its date and briefly the work or improvement pro-
posed and did further refer to the said resolution of intention for
further narticulars. and -i -°
17hereas, the said Street Superintendent did aloo cause
01 a notice similar in substance, to be published for the p ^riod of
four successive insertions in a weekly newspaper published and
circulated in the city of Newport Beach; and
T'hereas, the time prescribed by law during which object-
ions stall be made, has expired,,. anr.�,no one having pro-santed, filed-
or made said objections, the Board of Trustees do hereby resolve
that the said Bo,.rd of Trustees has acquired jurisdtction to order
said work to be done or improvement made, and
Be it further resolved; That the work to be done or im-
provement made consists in the vacation, abandonment and closinm up
of a part of a certain street in the city of Ne ^port Beach, and also
a certain alley therein, and it appearing thet no assessment is nec-
essary therefor, and for that reason no commissioners are appointed.
Nov therefor, be it ordered mhat all that portion. of First
Street a public street in the city of Newport BPFc* described as
follows, to -wit4
Commencing at a point, being the Southwesterly corner
of Lot 12 in Block 1 of Fast Newport, as the same appears upon a
map recorded in Book 3, at page 37,11iscellaneous Maps Records of
Oran;;e County, California; thence "esterly pursuinf the Northerly
line of Central Avenue, 50 ft, to the Southeasterly corner of Lot
1 in Block 3 of said Fast Newport; thence Northerly pureuin- the
Easterly line of said Lot 1, 30 ft, to the Northeasterly corner
of said Lot 1; thence Easterly 50 ft, to the Northwesterly corner
of Lot 1? in Block 1 of said East Newport; thence Southerly 30 ft
to the point of beginning.
And also all that portion of a certain alley in the said
city of Newport Beach, described as follows;
Commencing at a point being the Northwesterly corner of
Lot 15, in Block 3, of Fast Newport, as the same appears upon a
man recorded in Book 3 at page 37,J11srellancoue maps, Records of
Orange County, California, thence Southerly 70 ft. to the South-
westerly corner of said Lot 15; thence Testerly pu5uing the North-
erly line of Central Ave. 10 ft. to the Southeasterly corner of Loy,
14 in said Block 3; thence Northerly 150 ft, to the Northeasterly
corner of Lot 10 in said Block 3; thence Easterly pursuin.& the
Southerly line of Bay Avenue in said city 10 ft. to the Northwest-
erly corner of Lot 9 in said Block 3; thence Southerly 70 ft. to
the Southwesterly corner of said Lot 9 in Block 3,of said Eaot
Newport.
be and the saibd is hereby vacated, abanddned and closed
up, and shall cease to be a public street or alley.in said city,

The above a3,d foregoing resolution ordering work to be
done and improvement made was reed, adopted and approved this
3rd day of Larch, 1913, by the affirmative vote of atleastthree
trustees of the city of Newport Beach, to -crit:

was duly and regularly adopted, passed, and approved by
the City Council of the City of Newport Beach, California,
at a regular meeting of said City Council held at the
regular meeting place thereof, on the 3 day of
