.A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF NEWPORT BEACH BY THE
LEGISLATIVE BODY THEREOF, TO WIT: THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES FINDING
AND DETERMINING THAT THE PUBLIC INTEREST AND NECESSITY RkQUIRES
THE ACQUISITION AND CONSTRUCTION BY THE CITY OF NEWPORT BEACH OF
A PROPOSED PUBLIC IMPROVEMENT: THAT REAL PROPERTY IS NECESSARY
THEREFOR AND DESCRIBING SAID REAL PROPERTY.
The Board of Trustees of the City of Newport Beach, as the
legislative body thereof, find and determine as follows:
Section 1. It is hereby found and determined that the
public interest and also the public necessity requires the acqui-
sition and construction of and the City of Newport Beach proposes
to acquire and construct at and within the City of Newport Beach,
a public improvement consisting of a rubble stone jetty extending
from the shore of the Pacific Ocean on or near the entrance to
Newport Bay at a point designated Station 107 of United States
Harbor lines for Newport Bay, California, approved by the War De-
partment of the United States, January 18, 1917, in a southeasterly
direction into the waters of the Pacific Oceap approximately 1700
feet for the purpose of improving the water front of the city of
Newport Beach by straightening and deepening the channel of Newport
Bay at the entrance thereof and by protecting said entrance from
the waves, currents and tides of the Pacific Ocean, and by said
jetty to further maintain a public harbor at and within the City
of Newport Beach by rendering and making the entrance to Newport
Bay safe, adequate and navigable for the purpose of marine commerce
and travel.
Section 2. It is hereby found and determined that certain
real property is necessary for the acquisition and construction of
the proposed public improvement and the real property necessary
therefor is:
All that certain lot, piece or parcel of land located at
and inside of the City of Newport Beach, County of Orange, State of
Califorrrg, being a strip of land of the uniform width of sixty (6G)
(feet and approximately three hundred eighty (380) feet in length,
situated at the entrance to Newport Bay, and more particularly

1 described as:
2 Beginning at a point in the United States Harbor Line es-
• 3 tablished at said Newport Bay January 18, 1917, said point being
4 in the straight line between Station 1G7 and Station 108, and
5 distant 263 feet North 150 West from said Station 107; thence
6 South 150 East 380 feet more or less along said U.S. Harbor Line
7 and its prolongation to the line of ordinary high water; thence
8 North 750 22' West along the line of ordinary high water 69.03 feet
9 more or less thence North 150 West, parallel to and distant 60 feet
10 westerly from said U. S. Harbor Line, 345.87 feet more or less;
11 thence North 75° East, 60 feet to the point of beginning.
12 Said pardel of land contains 0.50 acres.
13 The above and foregoing Resolution No. 70 was passed by
14 the Board of Trustees of the City of Newport Beach as the legis-
15 lative body of said city at a regular meeting thereof held on the
16 5th day of March, 1917, by the affirmative vote of more thatn two -
17 thirds of'all the members thereof, to -wit:

22 The above and foregoing Resolution No. 70 is approved by
