HomeMy WebLinkAbout164 - Ocean Avenue Improvements3� R�OIII'PION NO 0� A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE CITY OF NEWPORT BEACH ORDERING THE IMPROVEMENT OF CERTAIN PORTIONS of OCEAN AVEMS AND THE CHANGE OF GRADES OF CERTAIN PORTIONS THEREOF UNMR, THE IMPROVEMENT ACT OF 1911. The Board of Trustees of the City of Newport Beach do re- solve as follows: Section 1. That the pablio interest and necessity require, and the Board of Trustees hereby order that the following work be done, to -exit: . That that portion of Ocean Avenue ly,ug between the northerly line of said Ocean Avenue and a tine 12 feet southerly of and parallel with tho northerly line of said Ocean Avenue and extending from a line which to 61 ` feet easterly of and parallel with the easterly line of 19th Street to the southerly prolongation of the westerly line of 9th Street, including all street and alley .intersections, be improved by the construction of a board sidewalk on pile bents. Said board sidewalk to be constructed to the official line and grade, and according to Plan No. 267, on file in the Office of the City Engi• neer of Newport Beach, and to further accordance with Specifications No. 26, adopted by Resolution No. 65 of the Board of Trustees of the City of New- port Beach, and on flit in the office of Ike City Clerk of said City. section 3. For further identification and de- - - -- scrfption of said Assessment District, reference is hereby made to a Map thereof designated as Plan No. 258, Assessment District, for the improve- ment of Ocean Avenue, approved by the Board of Trustees of said City on the 6th day of March 1922, and now on file in the office of the City Clerk, on which the exterior boundaries of said District are indicated by red border lines. Soot ion 3. t s ereby determined and notice is hereby given, that serial bonds to represent unpaid assessments and bear interest at the rate of seven per ccut per annum will be issued here - under in the manner provided by the Improvement Bond Act of 1915, the last installment of which bonds Shall, mature fourteen years from the 2nd day of July next enweed_fng nine months from their date. The City Clerk is hereby directed to post a notice inviting sealad bids for said work with the specifications therefor con - spiouous.ly for five days on or near the Ccuncil Chamber Door of thin Board, and to publish a like notice referring to the speci- fications posted or on file twice in the Newport gees, a weekly naws_.,arar Published and circulated in said city, said hereby de- signated for that purpose, there being no d-iily newspaper in said city.
