A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE r,ITY OF

VHEREAS, the Board of Trustees of the City, of Nerport Beach
did on the 17th day of April, 1922, duly adopt Resoluticn No.
170 ordering the following v7ork to be done;
That cement pipe sanitary sewers
be constructed in the following loca-
tion: In 19th Street and in the first
alley southerly. of Central Avenue
from the manhole already construct -
ed at the intersection of the center
line of 19th Street and the westerly
prolongation of the center line of the
' first alley southerly of Central Ave -
nue; thence easterly across 19th
Street and along the first alley south-
erly of Central Avenue to a line 5 feet
westerly of and parallel with the
westerly line of 17th Street.
And in the first alley southerly of
Central Avenue from 'the manhole
already constructed at the intersec-
tion of the center line of 17th Street
and the center line of the first alley
southerly of Central Avenue; thence
_ easterly along the first alley souther-
' ly of Central Avenue to the center
line of the fire[ alley westerly of 16th
Street;
And in the first alley westerly of
16th Street from a line 5 feet south -
erly of and parallel with the souther-
. ly line of Central Avenue southerly to

a line 5 feet northerly of and parallel
with the northerly line of Ocean Ave-
nue;
And in the first alley easterly of
15th Street from a line 5 feet souther -
lY of and parallel with the southerly
line of Central Avenue southerly to a
line which is 5 feet northerly of and
parallel? with the northerly line of
Ocean Avenue;
And In the first alley southerly of
Central Avenue from -the center line
Of the first alley easterly of 15th
Street easterlygo the manhole already
constructed at the intersection of the
center line of 14th Street and the cen,
ter line of the first alley southerly of
Central Avenue;
All Of the aforesaid cement pipe
sanitary sewers shall be constructed
across all street and alley intersec-
tions or portions thereof between the
Points, on the grades, at the elevations
and along the lines of said sewers iron
with manholes, cast ron
frames and covers and other appur-
tenances all as shown upon the plane
and profiles of said sewers Numbered
259 and 260, adopted by Resolution
No. 157 and plane numbered 233, 234,
235 and 236, adopted by Resoluttfon
No. 132 of the Board of Trustees of
the City of Newport Beach and on file
In the office of the City Engineer of
said City; and in further accordance
with specifications No. 27, adopted by
Resolution No. 97, as said specifica-
tfone No. 27 are amended by Resolu-
tion No. 131 of the Board of Trustees
of said City and on file In the office of
the City Clerk of said City, T
Reference Is hereby made to said
Plans and specifications for a more
complete and particular description of
said work.
That the said contemplated work or
Improvement in the opinion of said
Board of Trustees is of more than lo-
cal or ordinary public benefit and the
said Board of Trustees makes the ex-
Penes of said work or improvement
chargeable upon the District herein-
after described and declares that the
District in said City of Newport Beach
benefited by said work or Improvement
is described as follows:
Beginning at the Intersection of the
southerly line of Central Avenue and
the easterly Ifae of 14th Street; thence
westerly along the southerly line of
Central Avenue to its intersection
With the westerly line of 19th Street;
thence southerly along the westerly
Ifae of 19th Street to the northerly
Ifae of Ocean Avenue; thence easter-
ly along the northerly Ifae of Ocean
Avenue to the easterly Ifae of 14tb
Street; thence northerly along the
easterly Ifae of 14tb Street to the
southerly line of Central Avenue the

place of beginning, excepting there-
from any lands forming any part of
any public street or alley.
For further identification and de-
scription of said Assessment District
reference is hereby made to a map
thereof designated as Plan No. 261,
Assessment District for the improve-
ment of the first alley southerly of
Central Avenue and other streets and
alleys approved by the Board of Trus-
tees of said City on the 20th day of
March, 1922, and now on file in the of-
fice of the Cry Clerk, on which the ex-
terior boundaries of said District are
Indicated by red border lines.
It is hereby determined and notice
is hereby given, that serial bonds to
represent unpaid assessments and
bear interest at the rate of seven per
cent per annum will be issued hereun-
der in the manner provided by the im-
provement Bond Act of 1916, the last
Installment of which bonds shall ma-
ture fourteen years from the 2nd day
of July next succeeding nine months
from their date.
Except as herelnbefore stated, all
the proceedings for the aforesaid work
and improvements shall be had and
taken under and in accordance with
the provisions of an Act of the Legie-
lature of the State of California
known and designated as the "Improve -
provement Act of 1911" as amended.
