A Resolution by the Board of Trustees of the city
of Ne:arort Beech, as the legislative branch thereof,
determining that the public interest and also the
public neces =itl> derzands the construction by the city
of Nerr)ort Beach of buildings for munici ^al uses, the
cost of which is and mill be too great to be paid out
of theordinary annual income an revenue of the city of
Newport Beach.
The Board of Trustees of the city of Newport Be-ch, as the
legislative branchthereof, resolves and detarmines as follows:-
let. That the public interest and also the pablic

The construction of paid public improvement is neces-ary
and convenient to carry out the objects, purposes and po.-rs of the
city of New-port Beach, and the estimated cost thereof is the sum of
8000.00, which sum is and will be toc rr =at \to be paid out of the
ordinary annual income and revenue of the city of Newport Bench.

improvement, consisting cf one fire engine house, to be located in
the portion of said city known as Balboa.

The construction of said public improvement is necessary
and convenient to carry out the objects, purposes and powers of the
city of Newport Beach, and the estimated cost thereof is the sum of
,$3920.00 which sum is and will be too great to be paid out of the
ordinary annual income and revenue of the city of Newport Beach.
6th.
The public interest and also the public necessity demands
the construction of a municipal improvement by the city of EewD ort
Beech to —nit: one public jail, to be loc -ted at or near the City
Hall in said city.
The objects and purposes of the construction of said
public jail is to provide the city of Newport Beach with a srfe
and sanitary plate in which to detain persons awaiting trial for
public offenses and to imprison persons undergoing punishment of
imprisonment after conviction for public offenses.
The construct.'.:n of said public improvement is n.ecossary
and convenient to carry out the objects, purposes and pLwar s of the
city of Newport Boach,and the estimates? cost thereof is the sum of
