A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES
OF THE CITY OF NFIPPORT BEACH, DECLARING
THEIR INTFITTION TO VACATE, CLOSE UP AND
ABANDON FOR PUBLIC STREET PURPOSES CER-
TAIN PORTIONS OF :COAST BOULEVARD WITHIN
THE SAIr CITY.
It is the intention of the Board of Trustees of
the City -of Newport Beach to order those portions of Coast
Boulevard hereinafter described within the said city to be
closed up, vacated and abandoned for public street purposes;.'
the said portions of the said Coast Boulevard to be closed up,
vacated and abandoned for public street purposes are described
as follotius, to =wit;
(a). Beginning at the intersection of the south-
easterly line of 30th Street and the northeasterly line of
Toast Boulevard; thence southeasterly along the northeasterly
line of Coast Boulevard to its intersection with the northeasterly

prolongation of the esterly line of 29th Street; thence
southwesterly along she northeasterly prolongation of the north-
westerly line of 29th Street a distance of 23.11 feet to a point;
thence northwesterly along a line which line is 42 feet north-
easterly of and parallel with the southwesterly line of Coast
Boulevard to its intersection with the southeasterly line of
30th Street; thence northeasterly along the southeasterly line
of 30th Street a distance of 23.31 feet to the place of beginning. .

westerly line of 27th Street; thence southwesterly along the
northeasterly prolongation of the northwesterly line of 27th
Streets, distance of 23.07 feet to a point; thence northwesterly
along a line which line is 42 feet northeasterly of.Lnd parallel
with the southwesterly line of Coast Boulevard to its intersection
with the northeasterly prolongation, of the southeasterly line of
28th Street; thence northeasterly along.the northeasterly pro-
longation of the southeasterly line of 28th Street a distance of
31.50 feet to the place of beginning.

That the public a.rk herein described is the closing
up of the portions of Coast Boulevard described in Section One
hereof and it appearing to the Board of Trustees that there are
no costs, damages -.or expenses occasioned by or arising out of said
work and that no assessment is necessary to pay the costs, damages
or expenses of said work and that, therefore, no-assesspient dis-
trict of lands to be effected or benefited by said work or im-
proverrent is necessary.
SECTION THREE
The Street Superintendent of the City of Newport Beach
is hereby directed to cause to be conspicuously posted along the
line of said contemplated improvement, at not more than three hun-
dred feet in distance apart upon said street, and not less than
three in all upon said street, notices of the passage of this re-
solution, said notice to be headed, "NOTIOE OF PUBLIC FORK ", in
letters not less than one inch in length and stating the fact of
the passage of this resolution, its date, and briefly the work of
improvement proposed, being that of vacating the portions. of Coast
Boulevard herein described, and the said notice shall refer to
this resolution for further particulars.; the said Street Super-
intendent shall also cause a similar notice to that herein de-
scribed, to be published by four successive insertions in the
Newport .News, a meekly newspaper, printed, published and circulated

in said City of Newport Beach*.(there being no daily newspaper
so printed, published and qt4oulated in said City),
The City Clerk shall, certify to the passage of this
resolution and cause a minute thereof to be recorded.in the records
Of the meeting of the Board of Trustees at 'which this resolution
was passed.
