A RESOLUTION OF THEtOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE
CITY OF NEWPORT BEA*� ORDERING CERTAIN WORK
UPON CERTAIN PORTIONS OF 36TH STREET AND FIN-
LEY AVENUE WITHIN .SAID CITY,
The Board of Trustees of the City of Newport Beach do resolve
as follows....
SECTION I.
That.the public interest and convenience require the work
hereinafter described to be done and, therefore, the said Board of
Trustees hereby orders the following work to be done and improvement to
be made in said City to -wit:
The construction of granite concrete ornamental lighting posts,
conduits, wires.and appurtenances for the successful operation of an
ornamental street lighting system and otherwise improving portions of
M4 Street and Finley Avenue in said City, all as more particularly
described in Resolution of Intention No. 266 as adopted by the Board of
Trustees of said City on the 15th day of October, 1923 and on file in
the office of the Ckty Clerk of said City. For further particulars
reference is hereby made to said Resolution of Intention No. 266and tO
the plans, profiles, drawings and cross- seotions on file in the office of
the City Engineer of said City and according to the specifications on
file in the office of the City Clerk of said City and all of said plane,
profiles, drawings, cross - sections, and specifications heretofore approv-
ed by said Board of Trustees are incorporated herein and made a part
hereof and reference is hereby made thereto for a more particular des-
cription of said work.
SECTION 2.'
The said Board of Trustees also determined and declared that

• the contemplated work and improvement hereinbefore mentioned was in the
opinion of said Board of Trustees of more than local or ordinary public
benefit and the expense of said work and improvement has been made
chargeable upon a district. For a particular deecripti6 of said die -
trict reference is hereby made to said Resolution of Intention.
SECTION 3.
That eealed bids for said work shall be received up to 7 :30
o'clock P. M. of the 3rd day of December, .1923, at which time said bids
will be publicly opened, examined and declared by this Board.
The City Clerk is hereby directed to .post a Notice Inviting
sealed Bids for said work with the specifications thersfor,`conspicuously

for b-� t days on or near the Council Chamber door of this Board and
publish a like notice referring to the specifications posted or on file
twice in the Newport News, a weekly newspaper printed, published and
circulated in said City and hereby designated for that purpose, there
being no daily newspaper in said City.
