A RESOLUTION ()F THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES ()F THE
CITY OF NFPTPORT BEACH ATARDING THE CONTFACT
FOR CERTAIN TORK ON CERTAIN PORTIONS nF 36TH
STREET AND FINLEY AVENUE r'ITHIN SAID CITY.
The Board of Trustees of the City of Newport Beach do resolve
as follows:
SECTION 3.
That this Board hereby finds and declares that

the work hereinafter described and this Board hereby awards the contract
for said work to the a i.k at the
prices nariied in bid, to —wit:
For 1 1/4" dia. sheridized iron conduit with 2 No. 6
lead covered cable to be installed on the inside of
said conduit, per.lin. ft., complete . . . . . . . . .
For granite concrete ornamental light posts, complete
with concrete bases and other appurtenances, complete each$
All other bids for said work are hereby rejected and the City
Clerk is hereby directed to return to the respective bidders all checks
accompanying said rejected bids.
The-work hereinbefore referred to is described as follows:
The 'construction of granite concrete ornamental lighting posts,
conduits, wires and appurtenances for the successful operation of an or-
namental wtreet lighting system and otherwise improving portions of 36th
Street and Finley Avenue'in said City, all as more particularly described
in Resolution ofIntention No. 266 as adopted by the Board of Trustees of
• said City on the 15th day of Oct o ber, 1923 and on file in the office of
• the City Clerk of said City. For further particulars reference is hereby
made to said Resolution of Intention No. 266 and to the plans, profiles,
drawings and cross — sections on file in the office of the City Engineer of
said City and according to the .specifications on file in the office of

• the City. clerk of said City and all of said plans, profiles, drawings,
cross - sections and specifications heretofore approved by said Board of

Trustees are incorporated herein and made a part hereof and reference
ie hereby made thereto for a more particular description of said work.
SECTION 27
The.said Board of Trustees also determined and declared that
the contemplated work and improvement hereinbefore mentioned was in the
opinion of said' Board of Trustees of more than local or ordinary public
benefit and the expense of said work and improvement has been made charge-
able upon a district. For a particular description of said district ref-
erence is hereby made to said Resolution of Intention.
SECTION 3.
The Clerk of this Board is hereby directed to publish said
Notice twice in the Newport News,_a weekly newspaper printed, published
and circulated 'in said City of Newport Beach and hereby designated for
that purpose, there being no daily newspaper in said City.
