A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE CITY OF NEWPORT BEACH DECLARING THEIR INTENTION TO VACATE, CLOSE UP AND ABANDON FOR PUBLIC STREET PURPOSES CERTAIN PORTIONS OF OCEAN BOULEVARD AND CERTAIN OTHER STREETS WITHIN THE SAID CITY. c C The Board of Trustees of the City of Newport Beach do resolve as follows: SECTION I It is the intention of the Board of Trustees to order certain portions of public streets hereinafter described within said City to be closed up, vacated and abandoned for public street purposes; the said portions of said streets to be closed up, vacated and abandoned for public street purposes are described as follows, to -wit: 1. All that portion of 30th Avenue (sometimes called Carnation Avenue) as shown upon a Map of Re- subdivision of Corona del Mar, as recorded in Miscellaneous Maps Book 4, page 67, Records of Orange County, California, from the southwesterly line of Ocean Boulevard to a line which line is 60 feet northeasterly of and parallel with the southwesterly line of said Ocean Boulevard. 2. All that portion of Ocean Boulevard as shown upon a Map of Re- subdivision of Corona del Mar, as recorded in Miscellaneous Maps Book 4, page 67, Records of Orange County, California, between the southwesterly and westerly lines of said Ocean Boulevard, and a line which line is 50 feet southwesterly and westerly of and parallel with the northeasterly and easterly lines of said Ocean Boulevard from the aouthwesterly prolongation of the southeasterly line of 30th Avenue (sometimes called Carnation Avenue) to the southwesterly prolongation of the northwesterly line of 43d Avenue (sometimes called Poppy Ave- nue) including all portions of any streets or alleys intersecting with or terminating in said portion of Ocean Boulevard. - 1 - �. ,F • • C p RESOLUTION NO. . All that portion of 32nd Avenue (sometimes called Fernleaf Avenue) as shown upon a Map of Corona del Mar, as recorded in Miscel- laneous Maps Book 3, pages 41 and 42, Records of Orange County, Cal- ifornia, from the southwesterly line of Ocean Boulevard to the south- westerly line of Ocean A ,,enue, including all streets intersecting with or terminating in said portion of 32nd Avenue. 5.. All that portion of 33d Avenue (sometimes called Goldenrod Avenue) as laid out and shown upon a Map of 'Corona del Mar, as record- ed in Miscellaneous Maps Book 3, pages 41 and 42, Records of Orange County, California, from the westerly and southwesterly line of Ocean Boulevard to the northeasterly line of Ocean Avenue, including all streets or alleys intersecting with or terminating in said portion of 33d Avenue. 6. All that portion of 34th Avenue (sometimes called Heliotrope Avenue) as laid out and shown upon a Map of Corona del Mar, as record- ed in Miscellaneous Maps Book 3, pages 41 and 42, Records of Orange County, California, from the southwesterly line of Ocean Boulevard to the northeasterly line of Ocean Avenue, including all streets or alleys intersecting with or terminating in said portion of 34th Avenue. 7. All that portion of 35th Avenue (sometimes called Iris Avenue) • as laid out and shown upon a Map of Corona del Mar as recorded in • Miscellaneous Maps Book 3, pages 41 and 42, Records of Orange County, California, from the southwesterly line of Ocean Boulevard to the northeasterly line of Ocean Avenue, including all streets or alleys intersecting with or terminating in said portion of 35th Avenue. - 2'- I Y C, Y 8. All that portion of 36th Avenue (sometimes called Jasmine Ave - nue) as laid out and shown upon a Plop of Corona del Mar, as recorded . in Miscellaneous Maps Book 3, pages 41 and 42, Records of Orange County, California, from the southwesterly line of Ocean Boulevard to the north- easterly line of Ocean Avenue, including all streets or alleys inter - secting with or terminating in said portion of 36th Avenue. 9. All that portion of 37th Avenue (sometimes called Larkspur Ave- nue) as laid out and shown upon a Map of Corona del Mar, as recorded in Miscellaneous Maps Book 3, pages 41 and 42, Records of Orange County, California, from the southwesterly line of Ocean Boulevard to the northeasterly line of Ocean Avenue, .including all streets or alleys intersecting with or terminating in said portion of 37th Avenue. 10. All that portion of Pier Avenue (sometimes called Marguerite Avenue) as laid out and shown upon a Map of Corona del Mar, as recorded in Miscellaneous Maps Book 3, pages 41 and 42, Records of Orange County, California, from the southwesterly line of Ocean Boulevard to the north- easterly line of Ocean Avenue, including all streets or alleys inter- secting with or terminating in said portion of Pier Avenue. 11. All that portion of 39th Avenue (sometimes called Varigold Avenue) as laid out'and shown upon a Map of Corona del Mar, as recorded in Miscellaneous Maps Book 3, pages 41 and 42, Records of Orange County, California, from the southwesterly line of Ocean Boulevard to the northeasterly line of Ocean Avenue, including all streets or alleys intersecting with or terminating in said portion of 39th Avenue. 12. All that portion of 40th Avenue (sometimes called Narcissus Avenue) as laid out and shown upon a Map of Corona del Mar, as recorded in Miscellaneous gaps Book 3, pages 41 and 42, Records of Orange County, California, from the southwesterly line of Ocean Boulevard to the Northeasterly line of Ocean Avenue, including all streets or alleys intersecting with or terminating in said portion of 40th Avenue. 13. All those portions of H- Street as laid out and shown upon a Lap - 3 - m .. • of Corona del Mar, as recorded in Miscellaneous Maps Book .3, pages 41 and 42, Records of Orange County, California, from the southeaster- ly line of 31st Avenue (sometimes called Dahlia Avenue) and the north- westerly line of 32nd Avenue (sometimes called Fernleaf Avenue); and from the southeasterly line of the aforesaid 32nd Avenue (sometimes called Fernleaf Avenue) and the easterly terminus of said H- Street, including all streets or alleys intersecting with or terminating in said portions of H- Street. 14. All those portions of A- Street as laid out and shown upon a Map of Corona del Mar, as recorded in Miscellaneous Maps Book 3, pages 41 and 42, Records of Orange County, California, from the southeaster- ly line of 31st Avenue (sou['etimes called Dahlia Avenue) to the north- westerly line of 32nd Avenue (sometimes called Fernleaf Avenue); and from the southeasterly line of 32nd Avenue (sometimes called Fernleaf Avenue) to the easterly terminus of said A- Street, including all streets or alleys intersecting with or terminating in said portions of A- Street. 15. All that portion of R- Street as laid out and shown upon a Map of Corona del Mar as recorded in Miscellaneous Maps Book 3, pages 41 and 42, Records of Orange County, California, from the southeasterly line of 32nd Avenue (sometimes called Fernleaf Avenue) to the north-, westerly line of 33d Avenue (sometimes called Goldenrod Avenue). 16. All that portion of T- Street as laid out and shown upon a Map of Corona del Mar, as recorded in Miscellaneous Maps Book 3, pages 41 and 42, Records of Orange County, California„ from the southeaster- ly line of 32nd Avenue (sometimes called Fernleaf Avenue) to the north- •. westerly line of 33d Avenue (sometimes called Goldenrod Avenue). . 17. All that portion of Ocean Avenue as laid out and shown upon a Map of Corona del Mar, as recorded in Miscellaneous Maps Book'3, pages 41 and 42, Records of Orange County, California, from the southwesterly prolongation of the southeasterly line of 32nd Avenue (sometimes called Fernleaf Avenue) to the southwesterly prolongation of the southeaster- ly line of 40th Avenue (sometimes called Narcissus Avenue, including - 4 - r N all streets or alleys intersecting with .or terminating in said portion of Ocean Avenue. • 18. All that portion of the alley lying between Blocks 0 -32 and A -32, as laid out and shown upon a Map of Corona del Mar, as recorded in Miscellaneous Maps Book 3, pages 41 and 42, Records of Orange Coun- ty, California, from the southeasterly line of 31st Avenue (sometimes called Dahlia Avenue) to the northwesterly line of 32nd Avenue (some- times called Fernleaf Avenue). 19. All those portions of the alley lying between Block 0-33 and Blocks.A -33, B-33 and 0-33, as laid out and shown upon a Map of Corona del Mar, as recorded in Miscellaneous Maps Book 3, pages 41 and 42, Records or Orange County, California, from the southeasterly line of 32nd Avenue (sometimes called Fernleaf Avenue) to the northwesterly line of 33rd Avenue (sometimes called Goldenrod Avenue) , including all streets or alleys intersecting with or terminating in said por- tion of said Alley. 20. All that portion of the alley extending northeasterly and south- westerly through Block A -35 of a Map of Corona del Mar, as recorded in Miscellaneous Maps Book 3, pages 41 and 42, Records of Orange County,- California, from the southwesterly line of Ocean Boulevard to the northeasterly line of the first alley northeasterly of Ocean Avenue. 21. All that portion of the alley extending northwesterly and south- , easterly through Block A -35 of a Map of Corona del Mar, as recorded in Miscellaneous Maps Book 3, pages 41 and 42, Records of Orange County, California, from the southeasterly line of 34th Avenue (sometimes called Heliotrope-Drive) to the northwesterly line of 35th Avenue (sometimes called Iris Avenue), including all streets or alleys intersecting with • or terminating in said portion of said Alley. • 22. All of that certain alley in Block A -36 of a Map of Corona del Mar, as recorded in Miscellaneous Maps Book 3, pages 41 and 42, Records of Orange County, California, from the southwesterly line of Ocean Boulevard to the northeasterly line of the first alley northeasterly of Ocean Avenue,. - 5 - 23. All of that certain alley extending northwesterly and .southeast- erly through Block A -36 of a Map of Corona del Mar, as recorded in Miscellaneous Maps Book 3, pages 41 and 42, Records of Orange County, California, from the southeasterly line of 35th Avenue (sometimes called Iris Avenue) to the northwesterly line of 36th Avenue (sometimes called Jasmine Avenue), including all streets or alleys intersecting with or terminating in said portion of said alley. 24. All of that certain alley extending northeasterly and south- westerly through Block A -37 of a Map of Corona del Mar., as recorded in Miscellaneous Maps Book 3, pages 41 and 42, Records of Orange County, California, from the southwesterly line of Ocean Boulevard to the northeasterly line of the first alley northeasterly of Ocean Avenue. 25. All of that certain alley extending northwesterly and south- easterly through Block A -37 of a Map of Corona del liar, as recorded in Miscellaneous Maps Book 3, pages 41 and 42, Records of Orange County, California, from the southeasterly line of 36th Avenue (sometimes called Jasmine Avenue) to the northwesterly line of 37th Avenue (some- times called Larkspur Avenue), including all streets or alleys inter- secting with or terminating in said portion of said alley. 26. All of that certain Alley extending northeasterly and south- westerly through Block A -38 of a Map of Corona del Mar, as recorded in Miscellaneous Maps Book 3, pages 41 and 42, Records of Orange County, California, from the southwesterly line of Ocean Boulevard to the northeasterly line of the first alley northeasterly of Ocean Avenue. 27. All of that certain alley extending northwesterly and south- easterly through Block A -38 of a Map of Corona del Mar, as recorded • in Miscellaneous Maps Book 3, pages 41 and 42, Records of Orange County, • California, from the southeasterly line of 37th Avenue (sometimes called Larkspur Avenue) to the northwesterly line of Pier Avenue (some- _ times called Marguerite Avenue), including all streets or alleys inter- secting with or terminating in said portion of said Alley. - 6 28. All of that certain alley extending northeasterly and south- westerly through Block A -39 of a Map of Corona del Mar, as recorded • in Miscellaneous Maps Book 3, pages 41 and 42, Records of Orange County, California, from the southwesterly line of Ocean Boulevard to the northeasterly line of the first alley northeasterly of Ocean Ave- nue. 29. All of that certain alley extending northwesterly and south- easterly through Block A -39, of a Map of Corona del Mar, as recorded in Miscellaneous Maps Book 3, pages 41 and 42, Recorabs of Orange County, California., from the southeasterly line of Pier Avenue (some- times called Marguerite Avenue) to the northwesterly line of 39th Ave- nue (sometimes called Marigold Avenue), including all streets or alleys intersecting rrith or terminating in said qDlley. 30. All of that certain alley extending northeasterly and south- westerly through Block A -40 of a I-ap of Corona del Mar, as recorded in Miscellaneous Maps Book 3, pages 41 and 42, Records of Orange County, California, from the southwesterly line of Ocean Boulevard to the northeasterly line of the first alley northeasterly of Ocean Avenue, 31. All of that certain alley extending northwesterly and south- easterly through Block A -40 of a Map of Corona del Mar, as recorded in Miscellaneous Maps Book 3, pages 41 and 42, Records of Orange Coun- ty, California, from the southeasterly line of 39th Avenue (sometimes called Marigold Avenue) to the northwesterly line of 40th Avenue (sometimes called Narcissus Avenue), including all streets or alleys intersecting with or terminating in said Alley. SECTION II. assessment district of lands to be affected or benefited by said - 7 - That the public work herein provided for is the closing up of those portions of Ocean Boulevard and other Streets and Alleys • herein described in Section I, and it appearing to the Board of Trus- tees that there are no costs, damages or expense occasioned by or arising out of said work, and that no Assessment is necessary to pay the costs, damages or expense of said work, and that, therefore, no assessment district of lands to be affected or benefited by said - 7 - work or improvement is necessary. SECTION III. • The Street Superintendent of the City of Newport Beach is here- by directed to cause bo be conspicuously posted along the line of said contemplated improvement, at not more than three hundred feet in dis- tance apart upon said streets, and not less than trhee in all upon said streets, notices of the passage of this Resolution, said notice to be headed, "NOTICE OF PUBLIO WORIVI in letters not less than one inch in length and stating the fact of the passage of this Resolution, its date and briefly the work of improvement proposed, being that of vacat- ing Ocean Boulevard and other Streets and Alleys herein described, and the said Notice shall refer to this Resolution for further particulars; the said Street Superintendent shall also cause a similar notice to that herein described, to be published by four successive insertions in the Newport News, a weekly newspaper, printed, published and circulated in said City of Newport Beach (there being.no daily newspaper so printed, published and circulated in said City). SECTION IV. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage of this Resolution and cause a minute thereof to be recorded in the minutes of the meeting of the Board of Trustees at which this Resolution was passed.
