RESOLUTION NO.320.
A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE
CITY OF NEWPORT BEACH CONFIRMING THE CLAIM
OF SAID CITY THAT CERTAIN STREETS ON BALBOA
ISLAND NOW ARE, AND HAVE BEEN AT ALL TIMES
DURING THE PAST EIGHT YEARS, OPEN,PUBLIC
STREETS OF THE CITY OF NEWPORT BEACH, DEDI-
CATED AND ACCEPTED AS SUCH.

WHEREAS, those certain streets lying southwesterly of
and adjacent to Blocks 1, 3, 5, 7, 9, 11 and 13, and southerly of
and adjacent to Block 15, of Section 1, Balboa Island, and lying
southerly of and adjacent to Blocks 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5 of Section
2, Balboa Island; and lying southerly of and adjacent to Blocks
6 and 21 of Section 3, Balboa Island, and lying southerly of and
adjacent to Blocks 1 and 2 of Section 4, Balboa Island, and lying
southerly of and adjacent to Blocks 1, 2, 3 and 4 of Section 5,
Balboa Island, and lying easterly of and adjacent to Blocks 4, 5,.
9 and 8 of Section 5, Balboa Island, and lying northerly of qnd
adjacent to Blocks 13 and 14 of Section 4, Balboa Island, and
lying northerly of and adjacent to Blocks 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17
and 18, of Section 3, Balboa Island, and lying northerly and north-
westerly of and adjacent to Blocks 2, 4, 6, 8 and 10, of Section
1, Balboa Island, and lying easterly of and adjacent to Blocks
2, 11, and 14, of Section 4, Balboa Island, and lying westerly of
and adjacent to Blocks 1, 7 and 8 of Section 5, Balboa Island, as
said Streets are laid out and shown upon a map of Re- subdivision
of Section 1, Balboa Island, as recorded in Map Book 6, page 30,
Map of Section 2, Balboa Island, as recorded in Nap Book 6, page
31, Map of Section 3, Balboa Island as recorded in Map Book 7,
page 15, Map of Section 4, Balboa Island, as recorded in Map Book
7, page 37, and Map of Section 5, Balboa Island, as recorded in
Map Book 8, page 9, Records of Orange County, California, have been
continuously traveled public thoroughfares since the year 1916, and
that the said streets have been used for their entire width and

had curbs and sidewalks
constructed along the
same; and
WHEREAS, the
City of Newport Beach
has continually
claimed the right and has exercised the right
to use the said
thoroughfares as public streets for their entire width and length
ever since the year 1916; and
WHEREAS, the City of Newport Beach has, at its own ex-
pence, maintained the said thoroughfares in condition throughout,
and that no claim has been made at any time within the period
since the first year hereinbefore mentioned that the said streets,
or any part of them, were not public thoroughfares;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Trustees
of the City of Newport Beach that said Board now confirms the claim
of the City that said streets now are, and have at all times during
the past eight years been open, public streets of the City of New-
port Beach, dedicated and accepted as such.
