A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE CITY
OF NEWPORT BEACH DECLARING THEIR-INTENTION TO
VACATE, CLOSE -UP AND ABANDON FOR PUBLIC STREET
PURPOSES CERTAIN PORTIONS OF OLIVE STREET, SONORA
STREET AND CERTAIN. ALLEYS WITHIN SAID CITY.
The Board of Trustees of the City of Newport Beach do
resolve as follows:
SECTION I..'
It is the intention of the Board-of Trustees to order
that portions of the public streets hereinafter described within
the said City be closed -up, vacated and abandoned for public
street purposes. The said portions of said streets to be
closed -up, vacated and abandoned for public street purposes are
described as follows, to -wit:
(1) All that portion of Olive Street, within said. City, from
the northeasterly line of the State Highway to the northeasterly
line of the El Yoro Tract, as per Map thereof recorded in Mis-
cellaneous Maps Book 8, page 75, Records of Orange County, Cal-
ifornia.
(2)- All that portion of the alley,within said City, extend-
ing northeasterly and southwesterly.through Block 13, of the
Seashore Colony Tract, as per map thereof recorded in Miscellaneous
Maps Book 7, page 25, Records of Orange County, California, and
Block E of the E1 Moro Tract, as per map thereof recorded in
Miscellaneous Maps Book 8,.page 75, Records of Orange County,
California, from the northeasterly line of the State Highway to
the northeasterly boundary line of the aforesaid E1 Moro Tract.
(3) All that portion of Sonora Street, within said City,
from the northeasterly line of the State. Highway to the north-
easterly-boundary line of the E1 Moro Tract, as per Map thereof
recorded in Miscellaneous Maps Book 8, page 75, Records of Orange
County, California.
(4) All that portion of the alley extending northeasterly and
southwesterly through Block 12, of the Seashore Colony Tract, as
per Map thereof recorded in Miscellaneous Maps Book 7, page 25,
Records of Drange County, California, and Block F of the E1 Moro
Tract, as per map thereof recorded in Miscellaneous Maps Book 8,
page.75, Records of Orange County, California, from the north-
easterly line of the State Highway to the northeasterly boundary
line of the aforesaid E1 Moro Tract.
SECTION II.
That the public work herein provided for is the closing-
up of,the portions of the streets herein described in Section I,
and it appearing to the Board of Trustees that there are no costs,
damages or expense occasioned by or arising out of said work, and
that no assessment is necessary to pay the costs, damages or
expenses of said work, and that, therefore, no assessment district
of,lands to be affected or benefited by said work or improvement
is necessary.
SECTION III. .
The Street Superintendent of the City of Newport Beach
is hereby directed to cause to be conspicuously posted along the
line of said contemplated work or improvement, at not more than
three hundred feet in distance apart upon.said streets, but not
less than three in all upon said streets, notices of the passage
of this Resolution, said notice to be headed, "NOTICE,OF PUBLIC
WORKS", in letters not less than one inch in length,and stating
the fact of the passage of this Resolution, its date and briefly
the, work of improvement proposed,.being that of vacating the

portions of Olive Street, Sonora Street and certain alleys,herein
described
/and the said notice shall. refer to this Resolution for further
particulars; the said Street Superintendent shall also cause a
similar notice to.that herein described, to be published by four
successive insertions in the Newport News,.a semi - weekly
newspaper printed, published and circulated in said City of New-
port Beach ( there being no daily newspaper so printed, published
and circulated in said City).
SECTION IV.
The City Clerk shall certify to the passage of this
Resolution and cause a minute thereof to be recorded in the minutes
of the meeting of the Board of Trustees at which this Resolution
was passed.
Passed by the Board of Trustees of the City of Newport
Beach and approved this day of 1926.
