A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE
CITY OF PIEWPORT BEACH DECLARING VACANT FOR
PUBLIC STREET PURPOSES A CERTAIN POPTION OF
CHANNEL ROAD, "'I THIN SAID CITY.

MEREAS, The Board of Trustees of the City of Ne°port
Beach, on the 10th day of August, 1925, at a regular meeting of
said Board held on that date, duly passed and adopted a 7 esolution,
being Resolution No. 338, entitled, °A Resolution of the Board of
Trustees of the City of Newport Beach declaring their intention
to vacate, close -up and abandon for public street purposes a cer-
tain portion of Channel Road, -�*ithin said City", and
7- TEREAS, The Street Superintendent of the City of
Ne -Dort Beach, after the passage of said Resolution, caused to be
conspicuously posted along the line of said contemplated improve-
ment, at not more than three hundred (300) feet in distance apart,
upon said street, and not less than three (3) in all, upon said
street, notices of the passage of said Resolution, said notice
being headed °Notice of Public ;orkfl, in letters not less than one
inch in length, and stating the fact of the passage of said
Resolution, its date, and briefly the work of improvement posed,
being that of vacating the above nemod street, as hereinafter
described, and the said PTotice herein mentioned referred to said
Resolution for further particulars; said Street Superintendent
having also caused a notice similar to that hereinbeiore rederred
to to be published by four successive insertions in tht Netport
News, a semi - weekly newspaper printed, published and circulated
in said City of ide^port Beach (there being no daily newspaper so
printed, published and circulated in said City), and more than tern
(10) days after the expiration of the time of publication of soid
notice having elapsed and no objections to the said improvement
have been delivered to t'.:e City Clerk of the City of Fe-,-port Beach,

and the said Board of Trustees having acquired jurisdiction to
order the vacation of said street as hereinafter described;
THEREFORE, The Board of Trustees of the City of He-port-
Beach do resolve as follows-
SECTION I.
That those portions of the public street hereinafter
described, within the said City, be closed -up, vacated and abandoned
for public street purposes. The said portions of said street so
closed -up, vacated and abandoned for public street purposes are
described as follo7s:
All that portion of Channel Road within the said City
beginning at a point in the resterly line of Lot 21, Block P, of
Tract No. 518, as per map thereof recorded in 'Eiscellaneous !.aps
Book 17, pages 33, 34, 35 and 36, Records of Orange County, Calif-
ornia, which point is nine (9) feet southerly from the north -
^esterly corner of the aforesaid Lot 21, (measured along the rest -
erly line of said Lot 21); thence northwesterly around a circular
curve with a radius of 855.40 feet concave to the ?'Test, along the
present easterly line of Channel Road a distance of 143.43 feet
to a point in the present cester]y line of said Channel Road;
thence due South along the present westerly line of said Channel
Road a distance of 10.75 feet to a point; thence southeasterly
around a circular curve with a radius of 597.84 feet concave to
the Nest, a distance of 132.53 feet, to the place of beginning.
SECTION II
That the public :7ork herein provided for is the
closing -up of the street herein described, in Section I, and it
appearing to the Board of Trustees that there are no costs, damages
or expenses occasioned by, or arising out of said work, and thet
no assessment is necessary to pay the costs, damages or expenses
of said cork, and that, therefore, 'no commissioners shall be
appointed to assess benefits and damages.

SECTIOIN III.
The City Clerk shall certify to the passage of this
Resolution and cause the same to be published by one insertion
in the Nerport 1leris, a weekly ner-ispaper printed, published and
circulated in said City, and which is hereby designated for that
purpose.
Passed by the Board of Trustees of the City of Ne-°port
