THE CITY OF NE ".'PORT BEACH ORDERING THE IM-
PROV PENT OF CERTAIN PORTIONS OF SEAVIEV
AVENUE AND CERTAIN OTHER STR_EF'TS AND AVENUES
IN CORONA DEL :BAR, 7ITHIN S ID CITY.

The Board of Trustees of the City of Ne^p ort Beach do
resolve as folio-re;
SECTION I.
That the public interest and convenience require the
work hereinafter described to be done, and therefore the said
Board of Trustees hereby order the following work to be done and
improvement to be made in said City, to -wit:
The grading and construction 6f macadam pavement, cement
concrete curbs, cement concrete gutters, cement concrete sidewalks
and otherwise improving portions of Fernleaf Avenue, Goldenrod
Avenue, Heliotrope Avenue, Iris Avenue, Jasmine Avenue, Larkspur
Avenue, i'ari6old Avenue, Narcissus Avenue, Orchid Avenue, Pansy
Avenue, Hazel Drive and Bay View Drive; and the grading and con- g
struction of cement concrete pavement, cement concrete curbs,
cement concrete sidewalks and otherwise improving portions of
Carnation. Avenue, Dahlia Avenue, Fernleaf Avenue, Goldenrod Avenue,
Heliotrope Avenue, Iris Avenue, Jasmine Avenue, ;xarguerite Avenue,
Marigold Avenue, Poppy Avenue, Hazel Drive, Seaview Avenue and
Ocean Boulevard; and the grading and construction of cement concrete
pavement , cement concrete curbs, cement concrete walls, cement
concrete steps, cement concrete landin6c , cement concrete inclined
^.elks and otherwise improving portions of Fernleaf Avenue and Ocean
Boulevard; and the grading; and construction of cement concrete
curbs and cement concrete pavement and otherwise improving portions
of Coast Boulevard; and the grading and construction of cement

• concrete pavement upon a certain alley situated in Block A, of
Tract No. 673; and the grading and construction of cement concrete
pavement, cement concrete butters, cement concrete curb, catch
basins, reinforced concrete pipe drains, ditches, malls, inlets
and otherwise improving portions of Pacific Drive, including the
construction of reinforced concrete pipe culverts, reinforced
concrete pipe drains, catch basins and other appurtenances, and
guard fences in certain of the above mentioned streets; and the
construction of cement concrete steps, cement concrete landinbs,
cement concrete curb, cement concrete gutter, together with hand-
rails and other appurtenances in portions of Ccean Boulevard,
Goldenrod Avenue, and Heliotrope Avenue, all as more particularly
described in Resolution of Intention No. 396, as adopted by the Board
of Trustees of said City on the 1st day of November, 1926, and on
file in the office of the City Clerk of said City. For further
particulars, reference is hereby made to said Resolution of Inten-
tion No. 396, and to the plans, profiles, dra -ings and cross -
sections on file in the office of the City Engineer of said City,
and according to the specifications on file in the office of the
City Clerk of said City, and all of said plans, profiles, drawings.
cross - sections and specifications heretofore approved by said Board
of Trustees are incorporated herein and made a part hereof, and
reference is hereby made thereto for a more particular description
of said work.
SECTION II.
Notice is hereby given that serial bonds to represent
unpaid assessments and bear interest at the rate of seven (7)

per cent per annum Till be issued hereunder, in the manner provided.
by the Improvement Pond Act of 1915, the last installment of
which bonds shall mature fourteen (14) years from the second day
of July next succeeding ten (10) months from their date. For a
particular description of said bonds, reference is hereby made
to said Resolution of Intention.
SECTION III
The said Board of Trustees also determined and declared
that the contemplated work and improvement hereinbefore mentioned
Tas, in the opinion of the said Board, of more than local or or-
dinary public benefit and the expense of said work and improvement
has been made chargeable upon a district. For a particular de-
scription of said district, reference is hereby made to said Reso-
lution of Intention.
SECTION IV.
That sealed bids for said work shall be received u-o to
7 :30 o'clock, P.Y. of the 20th day of December, 1926, at -hich time
said bids will be publicly opened, examined and declared by this
Board.
The City Clerk is hereby directed to post a notice in-
viting sealed bids for said work with the specifications therefor,
conspicuously for five days, on or near the council chamber door
of this Board, and to publish a like notice referring to the spe-
cifications posted, or on file, twice in the Newport News, a weekly
newspaper printed, published and circulated in said City, and hereby
designated for that purpose, (there being no daily newspaper in
said City).
