RESOLUTION NO.11 .
• A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE
CITY OF NEWPORT BEACH ORDERING THE IMPROVEMENT
OF CERTAIN PORTIONS OF 22nd STREET, THE ARCADE
AND OTHER STREETS, WITHIN SAID CITY.

The Board of Trustees of the City of Newport Beach do
resolve as follows:
SECTION I.
That the public interest and convenience require the work
hereinafter described to be done, and therefore the said Board of
Trustees hereby order the following work to be done and improvement
to be made in said City, to -wit:
The grading and construction of cement concrete pavement,
cement concrete curbs, cement concrete sidewalks, cement pipe
sanitary sewers, together with manholes, cast iron frames and
covers, lampholes and other appurtenances; also the construction
of cast iron pipe and other appliances and appurtenances for sup-
plying and distributing domestic water, including the construction
of granite concrete ornamental lighting posts, conduit, wires and
appurtenances for the successful operation of an ornamental street
lighting system, and otherwise improving certain portions of 22nd
Street, The Arcade and a certain alley in Tract No. 814, and por-
tions of Central Avenue, all as more particularly described in
Resolution of Intention No. 406, as adopted by the Board of Trus-
tees of said City on the 3rd day of January, 1927, and on file in
the office of the City Clerk of said City. For further particulars,
reference is hereby made to said Resolution of Intention No. 406,
and to the plans, profiles, drawings and cross - sections on file
in the office of the City Engineer of said City, and according to
the specifications on file in the office of the City Clerk of said
• City, and all of said plans, profiles, drawings, cross- sections
• and specifications heretofore approved by said Board of Trustees
are incorporated herein and made a part hereof, and reference is
hereby made thereto for a more particular description of said work.
SECTION II
The said Board of Trustees also determined and declared
that serial bonds shall be issued to represent each assessment of
twenty -five (25.00) Dollars, or more, remaining unpaid for twenty
(20) days after the date of warrant. For a particular description
of said bonds, reference is hereby made to said Resolution of
Intention.
SECTION III.
The said Board of Trustees also determined and declared
that the contemplated work and improvement hereinbefore mentioned
was, in the opinion of the said Board, of more than local or or-
dinary public benefit, and the expense of said work and improvement
has been made chargeable upon a district. For a particular de-
scription of said district, reference is hereby made to said Reso-
lution of intention.
SECTION IV.
That sealed bids for said work shall be received up to
7:30 O'clock, P.M. of the ���� day of February, 1927, at
which time said bids will be. publicly opened, examined and declared
by this Board.
The City.Cle.rk is hereby directed-to post a notice in-
viting.sealed bids for said work with the specifications therefor,
conspicuously for five day$, on or near the Council Chamber door
of this Board, and to publish a like notice referring to the spe-
cifications posted, or.on file, twice in the Newport News, a
we newspaper printed, published and circulated in said City,

and hereby designated for that purpose, (there being no daily
newspaper in said City).
