.IHsAslaa, it appears that Title Insurance and Trust Company
is the owner of that certain real Vroperty, lying
within certain bulkhead lines as fixed by the United
atates Government, and commonly known as "Parkinson
Island ", and is also the ovmer cf approximately fourteen
(14) acres on tae mainland immediatelyw..es.t of and
bordering on a portion of the U. S. Bulkhead Line between
U. J. Station 125 and U. S. station 124, and is the
ov;ner of the fee simple title to lands lying between
said properties but within the bulkhead lines as aforesaid,
and concerning which an application has beer. or is about
to be presented to the gar Departi.:ent of the United States
throu`.h the U. S. District Engineer for :southern California,
f.•or permission to co certain dredging for the improvement
of w,atert,sys and channels in the area f.entioned and for
the filling of certain of '.he area mei_tioned for the
purpose of -providing an approach and bridge from cne psoner-
ty onto the other, but maintaining a continuous wrwterway
through said area for use as a public trateri:ay, and
It being represented to your Honorable Bocy that a water-
way v,ill be dredged, having a bottom width of 50 feet and
a top width of not less than 100 feet, v,i:ich channel
shall at low tide have a r.iean depth of 10 feet and
over which will be erected a bridge maintaining a. clearance
at high tide of not less than 15 feet, with a centre
clearing span of not less Shan 50 feet, and
'aid application as to seid proposed corl. having heretofore
been presented to the City Planning Commission of the
City of Nevrport Beach for its consideration and recommend-
ations, and after dve consideration of said matter by paid
Planning Commission at a meeting duly held for that
purpose, it having duly presented to this Board its report
and recorn,endation to the effect that in the opinion of
s <Ad Commission tale doing and performance cf said t•,crk
ar.d improvement would be of great value to and for the
best interests of the City of Newport Beach and the users
of the viatervays within 'the limits of --aid city, and that
said application merited the support of the City uf Netirport
Beach, 1.
ITOV, TH;'Fi. FUBE, BE IT RF-SOLVED by the Board of Trustees of
the City cf Newport Beach (a majority of all of the members
of said Board voting for the adoption of this resolution)
that the Board of Trustees of the City of Newport Beach do
hereby recommend to the %r Departi.:ealt of the United States
and to the U. S. District Engineer for .5outhern California
that the a_plication of the Title Insurance and Trua,t
Company for the doing and perforiaance of certain v rk
as in said application set forth within the areas the!ein
described, a copy of which application and the plans there-
to attached are on file -rith the City Clerk of said City
of Newport Beach, be granted in all respects, and
the City Cierk of the City of Newpert Beach is hereby
directed to advise the War Departn.ent of the United
States of the action of this Board in the premises.
