• WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Newport Beach,
0 California, on the 27th day of ;,:ay, 1929, passed its Ordinance
No. 360 declaring its intention to call an election within a
proposed uunicipa.l Improvement District in said City, and for the
purpose of submitting to the oualified electors of said district
the proposition of authorizing the issuance and stile of bonds
of such district in the manner and for the purpose set forth
in the Ordinance of Intention; and
WHEREAS, the said election was held on the 16th day of
July, 1929, and the said bonds were voted for municipal Improve-
ment District No. 7; and4pJ�
WHEREAS, the said bonds have been issued and sold,; and
1=EAS, the City of Newport Beach has accuired that
certain right of way for public street purposes from the Pacific
Electric Railway Company as described in said Ordinance No. 360.
NO +� THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Neirport
Beach hereby resolves that the public interest and convenience
recuire the work hereinafter mentioned to be done, and therefore
the City Council hereby orders the following work to be done Lnd
improvements to be made in the said City, to -eit :-
The improvement of that certain easement known as
Central kvenue acquired from the Pacific Electric Railway Company,
by certain grading end by the construction of certain cement
concrete pavement.
For further particulars, reference is hereby made to
• plans and profiles, being Plan No. 355, Sheets No. 1 to No. 4
• inclusive, adopted by Resolution No. 56 D and on file in the
office of the City Engineer of said City of Newport BeEcia, and to
the specific tions for the said work adopted by Resolution No. s6
of the City Council of said City on December 16th, 1929, and on file
in the office of the City Clerk of sFid City; and all of said
plans, profiles and specifications heretofore approved by the City

Council of said City are incorporated herein and made a part
hereof, and reference is hereby made thereto for a more particular
description of said work.
The City Council determines and declares that the cost
of said improvements and work shall be paid out of the lunicipal
Improvement District Fund #7 of said City, and in accordance
with the purpose for which the same. were voted in said
Municipal Improvement District Number Seven of said City.
The City Clerk of said City is hereby directed to roost
a notice of said work together with the specifications therefor,
conspicuously for five (5) days on or near the Council Chamber
door of said City Council,. inviting sealed proposals or bids for
doing the work ordered and the said City Clerk is hereby directed
to publish three (3) times in the Newport News, a weekly news-
paper published and circulated in the said City, and hereby
designated for that purpose by the City Council, a Notice Inviting
such Proposals or bids for doing the said work and referring to
the specifications and plans on file.
Passed and adopted by the City Council of the City of
Newport Beach, at a regular meeting thereof held on this l6th
day of December, 1929, and by the following vote, to —wit:
