3 WHEREAS, pursuant to instructions the City Attorney
4 of the City of Newport Beach has prepared a contract in which the
5 City of Neti7port Beach agrees to sell certain excess water of said
6 City to THE IRVINE COMPANY, a corporation, upon the conditions,
7 covenants and restrictions in said contract set forth; and
8 WHEREAS, said contract has been duly presented by said
9 City Attorney to the City Council of the City of Newport Beach

for its acceptance and approval.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That that certain con-
tract made and entered into the oLyd_ day of 'March, 1930, by and
between the City of Newport Beach as the party of the first part
and THE IRVINE COMPANY,a corporation, of Tustin, California, as
the party of the second part, and wherein and wherebDy the City
of Newport Beach agrees to sell certain of its excess water upon
certain conditions, restrictions and limitations to said second
party, be and the same is hereby approved as written.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That the Mayor and City Clerk
of the City of Newport Beach be authorized and directed to sign
said contract on behalf of said City of Newport Beach.
I hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was duly
and regularly passed by the City Council of the City of Newport
Beach at a regular meeting thereof held on the. day of March,
1930, by the following vote, to —wit:
