On motion of Councilman Claire seconded by Councilman Ga field
and c Tied, the communication and resolution from the Calif. Re Estate
Associa ion in regard to conservation of city funds, was filed.
The reeuest of E.L Carver for permission to construe a oier
in front o Lot 157, Bloot A, East Newport, was considered, d on motion
of Councilm Claire seconded by Councilman Garfield and c rind, the

IN THE MATTER OF ACQUISITION AND
IMPROVEkENT DISTRICT NO. 2 OF THE
CITY OF NE17DORT BEACH.
The City Council of the City of Newport Beach having heretofore
on the 17th day of November, 1930, approved the specifications in the
matter of Acquisition and Improvement District No. 2, Mr. Albert W. Cart -
lidge presented on behalf of Ur. Arthur it. Ellis, the Attorney appointed
in said matter, RESOLUTION NO. 644, being Resolution of Intention in the
matter of Acquisition and Improvement District No. 2 of the City of New-
port Beach.
WHEREUPON, it was moved by Councilman Carfield that the said
Resolution of Intention in the matter of Acquisition and Improvement
District No. 2 of the C_ty of Newport Beach be adopted. Which motion was
duly seconded by Councilman Ellsworth and upon roll call was adopted by
the following vote, to -wit:.
AYES, Councilmen Hilmer, Claire, Ellsworth, Garfield, Johnson.
