RESOLUTION NO. � 7T
WHEREAS, pursuant to instructions the City Engineer
and the Building Inspector of the City of Newport Beach have
prepared plans and specifications for the building, erection and
construction for Fire Station No. 2 on Lot Fifteen (15) of
Subdivision of Block 227, Section A, Newport Beach, California;
and
WHEREAS, said plans and specifications have been
duly submitted to the said City Council and the same have been
duly approved as submitted by said City Council; and
WHEREAS, the City Council believes that it is for the
best interests of said City that the City by written advertisement
invite sealed bids or proposals for the erection and construction
of said building in accordance with the plans and specifications
therefor on file with the Clerk of said City.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the City Clerk
I of the City of Newport Beach be and he is hereby directed and
instructed to publish a notice inviting bids for the erection and
construction of said Fire Station No. 2 on the property heretofore
described, and in accordance with the plans and specifications
approved by the City Council.
AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That said Notice inviting
bids be published in Newport News, a newspaper of general
circulation printed and published in the City of Newport Beach,
and that said notice be published at least twice.
AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That all bids be opened
at a regular meeting of said City Council to be held on the
20th day of April, 1931.
