• WHEREAS, the City Engineer of the City of Newport Beads
has prepared plans and specifications for the erection and
construction of a cement concrete aeration tank on portions of
Lots 1013 and 1213 of the First Addition to Newport Mesa Tract,
Orange County, California.
WHEREAS, said plans and specifications have been duly
submitted to the said City Council and the same have been
duly approved as submitted, by the said City Council; and
WHEREAS, the City Council believes that it is for the
best interest of the said city that the city by written adver-
tisements invite sealed bids or proposals for the erection
and construction of said aeration tank, in accordance with the
said plans and specifications therefor on file in the office
of the Clerk of said City.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Clerk of
the City of Newport Beach, be and is hereby directed and in-
structed to publish a notice inviting bids for the erection and
construction of said aeration tank on the property heretofore
described and in accordance with the plans and specifications
approved by the City Council; and'
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that said notice inviting bids be
published in the Newport News, a newspaper of general circulation
printed and published in the City of Newport Beach, and that said
notice be published at least twice;and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that all bids be opened at a
• regular meeting of said City Council to be held on the 4th day
of May, 1931.

lution was duly and regularly passed by the City Council of
the said City of Newport Beach at an adjourned meeting
thereof held on the 20th day of April, 1931,. by the following
