RESOLUTION NO. 698
WHEREAS, by Ordinance No. 3 `�'S of the City of
Newport Beach, and amendments thereto, the City Council of the
City of Newport Beach may in its discretion by written resolution
limit thepa3ki.ng of automobiles and other vehicles, on the street
within said city, and may further prohibit parking thereon; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Newport
Beach deems it necessary and for the best interests of said City
that certain traffic regulations be made in the City of Newport
Beach.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED;
Section ],. That parking of automobiles, motor
vehicles and other vehicles be and the same is hereby prohibited
on the west side of Bay View Avenue in said City of Newport
Beach between Bay Avenue and the waters of Newport Bay, and the
Chief of Police of the City of Newport Beach is authorized,
instructed and directed to post said side of said street with
appropriate signs indicating that parking of automobiles and
other vehicles is prohibited on said side of said street , and
is further instructed to paint or cause to be painted the curb
on the West side of said street , between the points mentioned, a
color.
Section a,. It is hereby declared unlawful to park
automobiles, motor vehicles or other vehicles for more than one
(1) hour on that certain street known as "B" Street in the City
of Newport Beach, between Central Avenue and the waters of Newpor
Bay, and the Chiefof Police of the City of Newport Beach is
authorized, directed and instructed to post said street by
the placing thereon of appropriate signs indicating that parking

of automobiles and other vehicles is limited to one (1) hour
on said street
Section a. The Chief of Police of the City of
Newport Beach is authorized, instructed and directed to install
or cause to be installed Boulevard Stop signs at both intersec-
tions of Marine Avenue with Park Avenue, and at both intersectio
of Park Avenue with Maxine Avenue, and from and after the date
of said installation of said stop signs, it shall be unlawful
to enter either of the intersections of Park Avenue with Marine
Avenue, or either of the intersections of Marine Avenue with
Park Avenue, with automobiles or other vehicles, without stopping
at said stop signs.
Section 4 The Chief of Poli,oe of the City of
Newport Beach is authorized, instructed and directed to install
or cause to be installed a Boulevard Stop sign on Agate Avenue
at the intersection of said Agate Avenue with Park Avenue, in the
City of Newport Beach, and from and after the date of the
installation of said stop sign, it shall be unlawful to enter
Park Avenue with automobiles, motor vehicles or other vehicles
from Agate Avenue, without stopping at said stop sign.
Section Zg. Parking of automobiles and other
vehicles is hereby prohibited on the east side of 23rd Street
between Ocean Avenue and Coast Boulevard in the City of Newport
Beach, and the Chief of Police of the City of Newport Beach is
hereby authorized, instructed and directed to paint or cause to
be painted the east curb of said street a color, and to
said side of said street with appropriate signs indicating that
parking is prohibited on said side of said street.
