RESOLUTION NO.�
WHEREAS, the Santa Ana Basin plater Rights Protective
Association are sponsoring a certain Bill before the California
Legislature, for the forming of a water district within Orange
County, and in which bill, as originally drawn, the City of
Newport Beach was included therein; and
WHEREAS, it now appears that a number of organizatio .
and individuals in the City of Newport Beach are opposed to said
proposed bill as written, and desire that the City of Newport
Beach be not included within said district.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the City of
Newport Beach formally protest, and does hereby protest the
proposed inclusion of the City of Newport Beach within said
proposed water district; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That a certified copy of
this resolution be mailed forthwith by the Clerk of the City of
Newport Beach to Mr. E. E. Campbell, Chairman of the Santa Ana
Basin.Water Rights Protective Association, Court House Annex,
Santa Ana, California.
I hereby certify that the above and foregoing
Resolution was duly introduced and passed by the City Council
of the City of Newport Beach, at a regular meeting thereof
held on the 3rd day of April, 1933, by the following vote, to-wi
