for 1500 miles of highvey in said County, totaling 0322 #500.00
the State Gasoline and Vehicle Taxes; and
CIHEREAS# the cities in Orange County in the past have
received an equitable distribution of said Gasoline and
a Taxes so received by said County of Orange; and
WHERTA3, during this period of business depression
effort is being made to reduce tho burden being carried by
tho tax - payer; and
t"TMAS$ if a fair and equitable distribution of the
oline and vehicle taxes were made to the cities of Orange
County$ taxes could be reduced; and
WHMAS# the mileage within the cities of Orange County
approximates five hundred (500) miles;
NOW9 THERUDRE# BE IT RESOLVED that it is the sense of
I�the Mayora of the cities of Orange County here assembled# to wits
;Anaheim, EVIlerton# Orange# Brea# Santa Ans, Tustin# Huntington
Beach# Seal Beach and Newport Beach
,that the Bm rd of Supervisors of the County of Orange be
,requested to make distribution of the Gasoline and Vehicle Taxes
to the cities of Orange County upon a mileage basis# giving the

25 said cities 0215.00 per mile for the five hundred miles of

26 'highway embraced within the cities of Orange County.
