RESOLUTION NO. E1 k_
Whereas, there has this day been presented to the City
Council of the City of Newport Beach, a certain agreement
wherein.the Southern_Pacific Company, a corporation is the party
of the first part, and the City of Newport Beach, a Municipal
corporation, is the party of the second part; and
Whereas, said agreement provides that the first party,
upon the terms and conditions .in said agreement set forth, permits
the party of the second part to oonetruct, reconstruct, maintain
and operate One 12 -inch oast iron pipe, one.6 inch cast iron pipe
and one 4 inch cast iron pipe for conveying water, at or near the
City of.Newport Beach, in Orange County, California, at the
location specified upon the map attached to said agreement; and
Whereas, it is deemed for the benefit and best interests
of the city of Newport Beach that said agreement be entered into.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT •RESOLVED: That the Mayor and City
Clerk.of the City of Newport Beach be authorized and directed to
execute said contract on behalf. of the city of Newport Beach,
and that a duly executed copy thereof be delivered forthwith to
the party of the first part.
I hereby certify that the above and foregoing Resolution
was duly and regularly passed and adopted by the City Council of
the city of Newport Beach at a regular meeting thereof held on
day of September, 1935, by the following vote:
