WHEREAS, there
has this day been
presented to the city

Council of the city
of Newport Beach a
certain contract wherein
5
the City of Newport
Beach is referred
to as the party of the
6
first part, and BYRON- JACKSON COMPANY,
is referred to as the
7
party of the second
part; and
8 WHEREAS, said contract provides.that the party of the
9 second part shall furnish to the party of the first part a
10 deep -well turbine pump with electric motor, in said contract
11 more particularly described, for the sum of $897.00, and upon
12 the terms and conditions in said contract provided, and in
13 accordance with the proposal of the party of the second part to
14 the party of the first part; and
15 WHEREAS, it is for the advantage and best interests of the
16 City of Newport Beach that said contract be entered into.
17 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the Mayor and City
18 Clerk of the City of Newport Beach be, and they are hereby
19 instructed and authorized to execute said contract in the name
20 of and on behalf of the city of Newport Beach, and that the City
21 Clerk deliver a duly executed copy thereof to Byron - Jackson Comp

duly and regularly passed and adopted by the City Council of the

City of Newport Beach at a regular meeting thereof held on the
25
16th day of March, 1936, by the following vote, to -wit:
