WHEREAS, there has this day been presented to the City
Council of the city of Newport Beach a certain contract wherein
the city of Newport Beach is designated as the party of the first
part, and E. V.S. Pomeroy is designated as the party of the
second part; and
WHEREAS, said contract provides that the party of the
first part will furnish to the party of the second part all
garbage which may from time to time be collected by the Superin-
tendent of Streets of said city, from the various residences and
business houses within said city, to be disposed of by second
party as in said contract set forth; and
WHEREAS, said contract provides for the term, consider-
ation and conditions for which the same is to be given; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the city of Newport Beach
deems that it is for the best interests of said city that said
contract be executed.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the Mayor and
City Clerk of the city of Newport Beach be, and they are hereby
authorised and directed to execute said contract on behalf of
the city of Newport Beach, and that a duly executed copy of said
contract be delivered forthwith to the party of the second part.
I hereby certify that the above and foregoing resol
was duly and regularly passed by the City Council of the city of
Newport Beach at a regular meeting thereof held on the let day of
June, 1936, by the following vote, to— wit :,,
