RESOLUTION NO. I J "'
WHEREAS, there has this day been presented to the
City Council of the city of Newport Beach a certain Memorandum
of Agreement wherein the City of Newport Beach is referred to
as the party of the first part, and the Southern California
Telephone Company is referred to as the party of the second
part; and
WHEREAS, said agreement provides that the party
of the first part grants to the party of the second part,
pursuant to application No. 6929 of the party of the second
part, the right to erect, maintain and remove a submarine
cable together with all necessary wires and fixtures, across
and upon the following described property:
Across property leased to J. A. Beek by the City of
Newport Beach in the Northwest quarter of Section 35, Town-
ship 6 South, Range 10 West, S. B. B. & M., and lying be-
tween the United States Government Bulkhead Line between
Stations No. 101 and No. 200 and Bayside Drive;
And WHEREAS, it is deemed for the best interests of
said city that said permission be granted upon the terms and
conditions in said agreement set forth.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the Mayor and
City Clerk of the City of Newport Beach be, and they are
hereby instructed, authorized and directed to execute said
agreement in the name of and on behalf of the City of Newport
Beach.
I hereby certify that the above and foregoing
Resolution was duly and regularly passed and adopted by the
City Council of the city of Newport Beach at a regular meeting
thereof held on the let day of March, 1937, by the following
vote, to—wit: '
