3 WHEREAS, William Hamilton and Verna Mae Hamilton,
4 husband and wife, as joint tenants with the right of survivorship
5 have this day offered to the city of Newport Beach, the sum of
6 $175.00 for Lot Eleven (11) in Block 139, of "Canal Section,
7 Newport Beach ", as shown on a Map recorded in Book 4, page 98
8 of Miscellaneous Maps, Records of Orange County, California; and
9 WHEREAS, the said price is a fair and adequate price
10 as and for the purchase price of said lot; and
11 WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Newport Beach
12 deems that it is for the best interests of said City that said
13 property be sold foi/the saidsum of $175.00; and
14 WHEREAS, the price offered is just, fair and adequate an
15 is not disproportionate to the real value of said property above
16
described.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That said property be
18
sold to the said William Hamilton and Verna Mae Hamilton, husband
19
and wife, as joint tenants with the right of survivorship, for
20
the sum of $175.00, free and clear of all encumbrances, except
21
second installment of taxes for the fiscal year 1936 -1937 and
22
unpaid public improvement assessments of record. Also subject
23
to conditions, covenants, reservations and restrictions of record
24
and

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That the sum of $50.00 be paid
26
to H. 0. Barrett, as and for his commission for the negotiating
27
of the sale of said real property to William Hamilton and Verna
28
May Hamilton, his wife, as joint tenants, said sum being a fair
29
and reasonable commission to be allowed in said sale, and said
30
broker being a licensed realtor of the city of Newport Beach.
