for the sum therein stated;

WHEREAS, there has this day been presented to the
City
for
the best
interests
of

Council of the City of Newport Beach a certain Contract
of
Con -

ditional Sale, dated July let, 1937, between D. K. BLUE
of
Newport
6
Beach, California, therein referred to as Seller, and the
City of
7
Newport Beach, a Municipal corporation therein referred
to
as the
8
Purchaser; and
9
AREAS, said Contract provides for the Seller
selling
10
to the purchaser a certain
Chevrolet
Commercial Pickup truck, in

said contract particularly
described,
for the sum therein stated;

WHEREAS,
the
City
Council
of the City
of
Newport Beach

( deems it advisable
and
for
the best
interests
of
said City of
15 Newport Beach that said truc$ be purchased by the City, under the
16 terms and conditions and for the sum in said contract set forth.
17 II NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the Mayor and City
18 Clerk of the City of Newport Beach be, and they are hereby
19 authorised and directed to sign said Contract of Conditional Sale,
20 in the name of and on behalf of the City of Newport Beach, and
21 that a duly executed copy thereof be delivered by the City Clerk
22 1 to the Seller therein mentioned.
23 I hereby certify that the above and foregoing Resolution
24 was duly and regularly passed and adopted by the City Council of
25 the City of Newport Beach at a regular meeting thereof held on th
26 5th day of July, 1937, by the following vote, to —wit:
