WiiFREA$, ROY V. SHAT' and BUS D. SHAFER, husband and wife,
have this day offered to the City of Newport Beach, a Quitclaim
Deed dated February 27th, 1937, describing all that certain real
property situated in the City of Newport Beach, County of- Orange,
State of California, described as follows, to -wit:-
Parcel 1. Lot Fourteen S14) in Block Three
Hundred Thirty-two (332) of Corona del star ", as
shown on a lisp recorded in Book 3, pages 41 and 42
of Miscellaneous Map*" records of Orange County,
California,
I' reel 2. Lot Two (2) in Block Five Hundred
Forty -two 542) of "Corona del Liar ", as shown on a
:Sap recorded in Book 3, pages 41 and 42 of Miscel-
laneous naps, records of Orange County, California,
and the sum.of Twenty -five Dollars ($25.00) cash as consideration
for a deed from the City of .Newport Beach for all that certain.
real property situated in the City of Newport Beach, County of
Orange, State of California, described as follows, to -wit:
Lot Fourteen (14) in Block Three Hundred Thirty -
two (332) of "Corona del Mar , as shown on a Map re-
corded in Book 30 pagea 41 and 42 of Misoellane6us
Maps, records of Orange County, California,
free and clear of all encumbrances, except taxes for the fi "—al
year 1937 -1938, public improvement bonds of record with aIX in-
stallments due thereon to date hereof paid in full, an, assessment
under the 1911 Improvement Act for foot bridge in the original
amount of J24.90, and covenants, conditions, reservations, riots
of way and restrictions of record; and
.WHEREAS, the said price is a fair and adequate price as and
for the purchase price of said Lot 14 in Blook.332; and
WHEREAS, it will be unnecessary to pay any commission to any,
real estate broker for making said sale and it will be furthere"
unnecessary for the City to furnish said purchasers with a Pee cY
of Title Insurance, the said purchasers having agreed to..pay for I
said Policy of Title Insurance and all title expense it► oonneetion'`
therewith; and

WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Newport Beach f
deems that it is for the benefit and best interests of said City
that said Lot 14 in Block be sold and conveyed foir said onn-
slderation hereinabove mentioned; and
WHEREAS, the price offered is just, fair and adequate and
is not disproportionate to the real value of said lot;
NOW, THERFrORE, BE If RESOLVED, that said Lot 14 in Block:.::.
332 be sold and conveyed to said Roy V. Shafer and Sue D. 33'er,
husband and wife, as joint tenants with the right of survivorship,
for the consideration hereinabove expressed, subjeet:. -to the en-
eumbranoes hereinabove mentioned, and the Mayor and the City Clerk

for said property to the said parties upon receipt of the consider,
