RESOLUTION N0. .` ';
WHEREAS, there has this day been presented to the City
Council of the City of Newport Beach a certain agreement wherein
the City of Newport Beach, as the owner of a certain pier extend-
ing into the Pacific Ocean opposite McFadden Place in the City of
Newport Beach, is referred to as the party of the first part, and
Darrell W. King, the owner of certain live bait boats, is referred
to as the party of the second part; and
WHEREAS, the saidparty of the second part has prior hereto
had the exclusive right and privilege of using the landings on
said mentioned pier, for the purpose of loading and unloading
passengers and patrons using the same, which said license or
privilege was granted to second party by first party upon the
terms and conditions in said previous agreement set forth; and
WHEREAS, the party of the second part desires an
extension of said license agreement for a period of two years
from and after January let, 1938, upon the same terms and
conditions heretofore agreed upon between said parties; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Newport Beach
deems that it is for the best interests of said city of Newport
Beach that said agreement be extended for said two year period
upon the terms and conditions therein set forth.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the Mayor and City
Clerk of the City of Newport Beach be, and they are hereby
authoized and instructed to execute said agreement on behalf of
the City of Newport Beach, and that the City Clerk deliver a duly
executed copy thereof to the party of the second part, upon ob-
taining the signature of the second party to said agreement.
I hereby certify that the above and foregoing Resolution
was duly and regularly passed and adopted by the City Council of
