RESOLUTLION NO. �J-%
WHEREAS, there has this day been presented to the City
Council of the city of Newport Beach a certain easement dated
the 20th day of November, 1937, by and between PACIFIC ELECTRIC
RAILWAY COMPANY, party of the first part, and the CITY OF NEWPORT
BEACH, a Municipal Corporation of the State of California, party
of the second part; and
WHEREAS, said easement provides that first party grants
to second party easement for culvert purposes across that part
of the right of way or property of said first party in the City
of Newport Beach, County of Orange, State of California,
described as follows:
A strip of land 1 foot in width situate in said city
of Newport Beach and extending from the northerly to
the southerly line of the strip of land 60 feet in
width lying between the northerly and southerly road-
ways of Central.Avenue and marked "Private Right of
Way Los Angeles Interurban Railway" on Map of Section
B. Newport Beach, recorded on page 27 in Book 4 of
Miscellaneous Maps, of Orange County, the center line
of said strip of land 1 foot in width being the pro-
longation of the westerly line of 14th Street across
said strip of land 60 feet in width;
And WHEREAS, the party of the second part deems that it
is for the best interests of the city of Newport Beach that said
easement be accepted.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the Mayor and City
Clerk of the city of Newport Beach be, and they are hereby
directed, authorized and instructed to execute said easement on
behalf of the city of Newport Beach and that the City Clerk
deliver a duly executed copy thereof to the first party therein
named.
I hereby certify that the above and foregoing Resolution
was duly and regularly passed and adopted by the City Council of
