A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR OF THE CITY OF
2 NEWPORT BEACH, CALIFORNIA, TO FILE AN APPLICATION
TO THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA THROUGH THE FEDERAL
3 EMERGENCY ADMINISTRATION OF PUBLIC WORKS FOR A LOAN
• AND GRANT TO AID IN FINANCING THE RECONSTRUCTION TO
4 NEWPORT OCEAN PIER, AND DESIGNATING THE CITY ENGINEER
5 TO FURNISH SUCH INFORMATION AS THE GOVERNMENT MAY REQUEST.
6 BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of Newport Beach, Calif-

8 SECTION 1. That Harry H. Williamson, Mayor, be and he is
9 authorized to execute and file an application on behalf of the
10 City of Newport Beach to the United States of America for a
11 loan and grant to aid in financing the Reconstruction to
12 Newport Ocean Pier,
13 SECTION 2. That Richard L. Patterson, City Engineer, be
14 and he is hereby authorized and directed to furnish such in-
15 formation as the United States of America through the Federal
16 Emergency Administration of Public Works may reasonably request
17 in connection with the application which is herein authorized
18 to be filed.
19 PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of
20 Newport Beach, California, at a regular adjourned meeting there -
21 of, held on the 15th day of August, 1938, by the following vote,
22 to -wit:
