RESOLUTION NO.
WHEREAS, a certain Grant Deed dated the day of
September, 1938, from the City of Newport Beach, a Municipal
corporation of the sixth class, to STELLA RUBY WARDLOW CHENEY,
granting to said Stella Ruby Wardlow Cheney all that certain
real property situated in the City of Newport Beach, County of
Orange, State of California, and more particularly described as
follows, to —wit:
That portion of Lot 5, in Block °0 °, of Tract No. 323,
as per map recorded in Book 14, pages 40 and 41 of Mis-
cellaneous Maps, in the office of the County Recorder
of said County, described as follows:
Beginning at the Southwesterly corner of said lot; thence
Northerly along the Westerly boundary of said Lot, 34 feet;
thence Northeasterly parallel with the Northerly boundary
of said lot to a point in the most easterly line thereof;
thence Southwesterly along the most easterly and the
southeasterly lines of said lot to the point of beginning.
Subject to reservations, restrictions and easements of
record,
was presented to the City Council of the city of Newport Beach,
California; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the city of Newport Beach
deems that it is for the best interests of said City that said
Grant Deed be given upon the terms and conditions therein set
forth, and other valuable considerations, including the widening
of Highway No. 101 through that portion of the city of Newport
Beach known as Corona del Mar.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the Mayor and City
Clerk of the City of Newport Beach be,and they are hereby
authorized, directed and instructed to execute said Grant Deed
in the name of and on behalf of the city of Newport Beach, and
that the City Clerk deliver a duly executed copy thereof to the
Grantee therein named.
