RESOLUTION NO. I

WHEREAS, there has been this day presented,eto the
;I
City of Newport Beach, a certain agreement of lease, made
and entered into the 16th day of January, 1939, by' and be-
tween the City of Newport Beach, in said lease agree m nt re-
ferred to as the party of the first part, and Alex J. Twist
and Fred Storey of Newport Beach, in said lease agreement
referred to as parties of the second part; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Newport
Beach, deems that the consideration offered for said lease
by the said parties of the second part, is in all respects
fair and adequate, and is not in any respect disproportionate
to the actual value of said lease; and
I WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Newport
Beach further deems that it is for the best interest and
welfare of the City of Newport Beach and the inhabitants
thereof that said lease be given to said parties of the
second part; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Newport
Beach further deems that the giving of said lease will aid
in advertising said City to its many visitors and will pro-
vide for a recreation which will greatly promote and advertise
the interests of said City*
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that said lease be
accepted by the City of Newport Beach as written, and that
the Mayor and City Clerk of the City of Newport Beach be
authorized, directed and instructed to execute said lease
in the name and on behalf of the City of Newport Beach, and
that the City Clerk.deliver a duly executed copy thereof to
Alex J. Twist and Fred Storey, the parties of the second part
in said agreement mentioned*
