3 WHEREAS, OLARENOE HENRY DEANE and LAURA J. DEANE, husban
4 and wife, have this day offered to the CITY OF NEWPORT BEACH, the
5 sum of $300.00 for Lot 75, Tract 948, in the city of Newport Beach
6 as shown on Map recorded in Book 30, page 7 of Miscellaneous Maps,
7 records of Orange County, California; and
8 WHEREAS, the said price is a fair and adequate price
9 as and for the purchase price of said lot; and
10 WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Newport Beach
11 deems that it is for the best interests of said City that said
12 property be sold for the said sum of $300.00; and
13 WHEREAS, the price offered is just, fair and adequate
14 and is not disproportionate to the real value of the property
15 above described.
16 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That said property
17 be sold to the said Clarence Henry Deane and Laura J. Deane, husba

and wife, for the sum of $300.00, free and clear of all encumbrances,
subject to the taxes for the fiscal year 1939 -40, and unpaid
20 11improvement assessments of record. Also subject to conditions,
21 restrictions and reservations of record. The Mayor and the City
22 Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to execute and deliver
23 a deed for said property to the said parties upon receipt of the
24 consideration above set forth.
25 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That the sum of $30.00 be paid
26 to Harry Hyde, as and for his commission for the negotiating of
27 the sale of said real property to Clarence Henry Deane and Laura
28 J. Deane, his wife, as joint tenants, said sum being a fair and
29 reasonable commission to be allowed in said sale, and said broker

30 being a licensed realtor of the City of Newport Beach.

I hereby certify that the above and foregoing
