RESOLUTION NO. IM —
WHEREAS,there has this day been presented to the City
Council of the city of Newport Beach a certain agreement between
the city of Newport Beach as party of the first part, and J. B.
Cail of Huntington Beach, California, as party of the second part,
said agreement being dated as of the 6th day of January, 1941; and
WHEREAS, said agreement provides that the party of the
second part has been awarded the contract by the party of the
first part for the sale and disposal of garbage of the city of
Newport Beach for a period of two years from February 1, 1941, to
January 31st, 1943, upon the terms, covenants and conditions, and
for the consideration in said agreement specifically set forth;
and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the city of Newport Beach
deems that it is for the beet interests of said city that said
contract be awarded to the said party of the second part upon the
terms and conditions therein specified.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the Mayor and
City Clerk of the city of Newport Beach be, and they are hereby
directed, instructed and authorized to execute said agreement
in the name of and on behalf of the city of Newport Beach, and
that the City Clerk deliver a duly executed copy thereof to the
party of the second part.
I hereby certify that the foregoing resolutionvas duly
and regularly passed by the city Council of the city of Newport
Beach,at a regular meeting thereof held on the 6th day of January,
1941, -by the following vote, to -wit: n ��
